I especially want to thank our dedicated butler, Tina. The hotel boasts a prime location right next to MixC City, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. Designed by a renowned team, the architecture seamlessly blends the ancient charm of Sichuan courtyards with modern luxury. The lobby is high-ceilinged and elegant, while the gardens feature lush greenery and charming pavilions, creating picturesque scenes at every turn that perfectly capture the essence of Sichuan. It's truly a photographer's dream. The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning city night views. Each room is equipped with the 'Xiao Mian' smart voice system, a smart toilet, premium toiletries, and a capsule coffee machine. The King Koil bedding is soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The mini-bar drinks and local specialty snacks are replenished daily, and a welcome fruit platter adds a thoughtful touch. The most delightful surprise throughout our stay was the thoughtful service from our butler, Tina. During check-in, she meticulously explained the hotel's facilities and how to use the smart devices. She also proactively recommended authentic local hotpot restaurants and sightseeing routes based on our itinerary. When I casually mentioned needing clothes ironed, I messaged Tina, and she was at our door within minutes. When I expressed interest in experiencing local tea, she thoughtfully helped us book a session at the hotel's Tea House. We even received a warm bedtime snack at night, which Tina had thoughtfully arranged. From check-in to check-out, her response to our needs was swift, her attention to detail was exceptional, and her warm and enthusiastic demeanor truly made us feel at home. The breakfast offers a rich variety of options, including both Sichuanese snacks and Western dishes, all of which were delicious. The well-equipped gym and self-service laundry room add to the excellent value for money. Kapok Hotel is my top choice when visiting Chengdu, and I'll definitely request Tina as our butler for future stays. Highly recommended!"

"This guesthouse truly lives up to its reputation as the number one in Chengdu! The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home the moment you step in. I'll definitely be staying at Yijian again on my next visit to Chengdu. They even gave me a milk tea coupon after I solved a Rubik's Cube – such a fun touch! Afternoon Tea: The ancestral hall tea set was exquisite, and the tea itself was absolutely delicious. Late-night snack: The ancestral hall late-night feast was amazing. The old duck soup was incredibly tasty; my partner had two bowls! Cleanliness: Super, super, super clean! I have very sensitive skin, but I felt completely comfortable sleeping without pants. Amenities: All the products were Le Labo!"

Most importantly Tao Tao Ju restaurant is just 10 mins walk! The best food at a reasonable price. Attractions in downtown are in a walking distance. There are street food and authentic food along the street. You can take Didi around 40Y if you want to go to East suburban memory or Kuanzhai alley and taxi is easily to find. Hotel staff is friendly but translation app should be ready. Laundry is convenient and it’s not crowded when we were there. Room had slight smell when we arrived but after cleaning it was fine. The bed is really comfy. Highly recommend."

Large, comfortable, and clean double room with a view of Renmin Road, comfortable beds and pillows, and impeccable housekeeping. Comfortable common areas, with a dedicated children's area. Excellent 24-hour self-service laundry."

The Jinjiang River is right outside, offering a fantastic view, and the night scenery is also beautiful. For my case, I asked front desk service to support during leaving to dinner around IFS area. After all cleaned up, staff notified me on WeChat promptly and keep in my room. That's really good service I recommend you guys for stay with comfy rooms and good service. They also provided welcome fruits and souvenir Panda hand fan. Nearby hotel also good location for grocery shops and Fast food restaurants."

"I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel from the moment I checked in. Within 30 minutes of arrival, I went up to the 29th floor to redeem the afternoon tea set included in my booking. The moment I entered, the reception staff on that floor was extremely unprofessional and rude. I was told that I would not be receiving the afternoon tea set as shown in the photos because those images were apparently taken two years ago. During my visit, there was also a group of guests smoking in the area, despite multiple “No Smoking” signs clearly displayed throughout the venue. When I asked the staff about it, I was told that the signs had been there for a long time and that this area did not need to follow the rules because it is considered a public space, so smoking was allowed. What made this even more unacceptable is that there is already a new law prohibiting smoking inside buildings starting from early May, yet the hotel staff completely ignored it and showed no concern at all. This was extremely frustrating for me because I am allergic to cigarette smoke and found the smell overwhelming. I informed them that I could not stay there and would prefer to take the tea back to my room instead. The staff then carelessly tossed a bag of snacks toward me and handed me some basic tea bags in a very dismissive manner. What made the situation even worse was that the smoking guests showed absolutely no consideration for others. After I reported the issue to the lobby downstairs, the group quickly came down and hurriedly left the hotel shortly afterward. To be fair, the breakfast staff were welcoming and professional, and the hotel did eventually offer complimentary compensation as a gesture of responsibility. However, that still does not make up for the frustration and discomfort I experienced. The hotel staff also asked me not to leave a negative review and even offered to send items to the airport for me. Ironically, airport delivery was already included in my room package — I simply chose not to use it. For anyone considering staying here, please think carefully and do not blindly trust all of the benefits and packages being advertised."
