"Hotellet er godt beliggende. Men denne ophold var en af de værste, jeg har boet på dette hotel. Allerede ikke er det et hotel. Ved min ankomst var der ingen, ingen instruktioner om check-in. Jeg har måttet ringe trip.com, som blev kontaktet ejeren og fik mit værelsesnummer. Derefter havde jeg booket et værelse, der giver set på hotellet, jeg fik et værelse på bagsiden af huset (udsigt over bagsiden).. og stadig umuligt at kontakte nogen af dette hotel. Det indberettede nummer virker ikke. Udstyret er gammelt og beskadiget Der var en enorm kafard i badeværelset, som jeg ikke kunne fjerne, fordi han glide under badeværelset møbler hver aften. Endelig var det værste, at læder. Les draps n’ont pas été lavé et sent horriblement mauvais (jeg tror ikke han vaske dem efter hver rejsende). Les oreilleurs sont décolorés et rempli d’acaire de poussière et de saleté. Kort sagt, jeg råder ikke denne institution, selv om den er godt placeret."

"Jeg var her i sidste uge i august..Check-in var på lørdag og det var travlt, så jeg kom ikke ind i rummet før klokken 6:30, så jeg gik madshoppe for at dræbe 2 til 3 timer. Endelig skrev de mig, at rummet var klar.Men da rummet var klar, var det godt udformet til de to soveværelser, jeg havde bekræftet.Jeg var i bygningen fem med en lille udsigt til havet. Vedligeholdelse er svarende til dine behov specifikt var der et problem med fjernsynets frysning og glitching, selv om de forsøgte at komme for at løse det. Det var aldrig løst... med stranden så tilgængelig, du bruger mest af din tid på stranden eller poolen alligevel.Jeg bookede en krop massage på Mandara spa... som var meget sød.Tjeneren var Jenny. Priserne var højere end andre steder, men det ser ud til, at priserne på alt i Aruba er oppe.Den eneste negative oplevelse, jeg havde, var på Aruba aloe-butikken. Den deltager med den twisted hårstil, der var der på fredag, blev forbrugt med papirarbejde til virkelig at hjælpe med produktinformation og salg. Hun ville ikke forklare eller manglede viden om visse produkter for at gøre købsprocessen lettere.Jeg fortalte hende, at det ville være nyttigt, hvis hun viste, hvor produkterne var i stedet for bare at sige "det er der over", tog hun en overtrædelse af det. Jeg vil hellere være ærlig over for folk og fortælle dem, at oplevelsen ikke er den bedste!Maden på Malmok bar var ikke den bedste, men Anttila bar havde de bedste kyllingevinger og grapefrugt.Margarita!"

"I read so many reviews before going and I honestly thought, these cannot be true. Well, they are for the most part. So buyer beware. This is a resort for time share owners, and you forget that when you see "Marriott", a name we believe in. The pools are too small for the amount of guests. The hotel in most places is completely dated. Lots of paint needs, missing tiles, rust in areas, just not appealing. The elevators in the lighthouse were in repair making it painful for us every day to get to our rooms or back down. The room was nice, we had a 2BR suite which was an adjoining room. We had a washer and dryer which we always appreciate. Views were great too as it was ocean view. We ate off resort for everything dinner and picked up food for the room for breakfast and lunch at the grocery store on the way. Parking was limited btw, and had to circle for a while at times which made you wonder what happens to the last one back from dinner? Be careful of the wind when opening your car doors, it will practically rip the door off. They have a lazy river but you need a float to use it. Search for free left over ones just outside the pool or down by the adult pool gate exit. Do not forget your sunscreen, it's highway robbery here... so stop at the grocery store if nothing else. I believe we paid like $60-$70 per bottle! Marriott, you should do better! Some of the staff monitor your chair tags like stalking prey, and take your tags if you're not down there. Here's the issue. People line up at 6 am to claim chairs. There is no way you're hanging out at 6 just to keep a chair. So, we took our chances, picked inconspicuous chairs, and got down there by 9 am to use them. In high season, it's insane how many chairs are tagged by 9 and no place to sit in the shade which is a problem in Aruba sun. Again, grounds are too small for the 700 rooms that appear booked non stop in season. Checking in was easy enough. We purchased the bracelets to make it easy for our stay for room access. The pool service didn't exist, even when I complained to the manager, it didn't improve. I was disappointed overall with our stay so I reached out to him directly. He actually met with me in person. Nothing came of it, and he didn't offer any type of concession given our experience, but he was a gentleman and I enjoyed talking with him nonetheless. So if you enjoy sitting poolside or beachside, don't expect to remain in your seat, you will have to make the effort each time to get something, completely spoiling the experience for us. The beach is very nice, and the water very swimmable. There are restaurants within walking distance as well. The lunch at the restaurant is fine but dinner was like fast food takeout from the looks of it, so unless you have toddlers, you may want to have an alternative plan. Plenty of great restaurants in Aruba, but you'll have to take a taxi or drive to most. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you get really great deal, like great deal, then "

Aruba Blue Village Hotel and Apartments

"Our 2nd stay at Aruba blue village and definitely won’t be our last! The staff are incredible, cannot praise them highly enough from the management who is always available right through to the girls on the check in desk and the guys in the restaurant, nothing is too much trouble. It isn’t particularly close to the beach or the old town however the hotel provide a shuttle to eagle beach, palm beach & the old town every day, the driver,Anthony is a lovely guy. The girls on reception are also able to book taxis and can arrange a transfer to the airport or some of the further away beaches if you don’t have a rental car. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Pools are kept immaculate. The only downside is the restaurant is only open for breakfast (which is fantastic btw) and again at 5pm for dinner with a good selection of meals available very reasonably priced. And there is a supermarket a 7 or 8 minute walk away where you can buy what you need for a quick sandwich if you decide you want a couple of pool days but generally if you have gone to the beach you’ll likely eat out. Overall if you’re looking for a nice friendly and clean place to stay and aren’t overly fussed about being in an all action area (which let’s face it, Aruba is about relaxing!) then this is a perfect base for a great holiday at a great price The I highly recommend this hotel"
