And indeed you are, as Blackheath is the highest village in the mountains, sometimes getting snow in winter time. And the dark clear night air is fantastic for star gazing.If you are lucky you might even find yourself face to face with a kanagroo or echidna in the main street or local field around dawn or dusk.Dalpura is the perfect place for a romantic couples getaway, but is very popular with small families or two couples. The cottage comfortably hosts four people in two bedrooms. We recommend only four guests maximum as there is only dining and seating for four.The gorgeous large main loft bedroom with queen sized bed has that classic wooden mountains cottage feel about it.The 2nd bedroom downstairs has a King sized bed that can be split into and made up into two king singles upon request after booking.All beds have brand new super comfortable premium A.H.Beard Kingcoil mattresses.Quilts are super warm 12 TOG thermal rating.AMENITIES: It may be a small cozy cottage but we haven't forgotten the modern conveniences:There is a media room with a 60" Sony smart TV with Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+ and PrimeVideo accounts already set up for your enjoyment, along with a gigantic couples beanbag + sofa. The quaint shops, art galleries, and nice selection of cafe's and friendly laid back atmosphere will delight you. A strikingly different atmosphere to tourist focused Katoomba.Blackheath is also a great base to visit Katoomba, Leura, Wentworth falls, and Mount Victoria.
