The only drawback is the desolate surroundings; there's basically nothing to see or do nearby, and dining out is very inconvenient, so you're limited to eating at the hotel. It's not too far from the Changbai Mountain scenic area, though."

The breakfast offers a wide variety, including some Korean ethnic specialties. The front desk service was excellent; they even upgraded my room, which had a lawn slope outside the window."

"This guesthouse is incredibly unique and thoughtful. After experiencing the chaotic management and pre-packaged fruit for breakfast at Wanda Westin on our trip from Shanghai to Changbai Mountain, my expectations for this guesthouse weren't very high. However, Guan Zhi ultimately made our Changbai Mountain trip perfect. From the thoughtful communication and guidance before check-in to the seamless and attentive pick-up/drop-off service, every staff member showed immense enthusiasm and a strong sense of ownership. Even the young ladies helped us with our luggage. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with snacks and a variety of beverages. The hot spring dip in the courtyard after dinner, along with the fragrant and sweet roasted sweet potatoes, made our children fall in love with this guesthouse. They even thought Guan Zhi was a more upscale hotel than the Westin. Guan Zhi's breakfast was a true highlight in terms of quality. Whether it was the fruit, homemade shredded chicken, prawns, or their own braised beef, beef noodles, and soup rice, everything captured the taste buds of our family of four. My eldest daughter, who is usually very picky about breakfast, even had two servings of beef noodles the next morning. On New Year's Eve after dinner, we joined the New Year's Eve feast organized by the owner. We and a few other guests enjoyed the owner's 25-year-old baijiu. The sweet baijiu brought together friends from all corners of the country, allowing us to spend a comfortable and relaxed New Year's Eve. The owner and their team are dedicated to building Guan Zhi into a warm and influential brand. With such dedication and full commitment, I believe Guan Zhi and the owner will go a long way. Perhaps it was fate, but on our only full day exploring the North Slope, we were lucky enough to catch the only time Tianchi (Heaven Lake) was open in two weeks, making us among the chosen few to witness its beauty. Wishing everyone a galloping start to the Year of the Horse!"
Changbai Mountain Pureland Hot Spring Resort Hotel
"This hotel really left me speechless. First off, for a local five-star hotel, there was no one to greet us at the entrance, and no one to help with our luggage when we arrived or departed. Unless you've pre-booked a shuttle service, no one will assist you. Secondly, the staff's attitude was an issue. I'm not sure if it's because they're from the Northeast, but their tone was incredibly cold and unfriendly. I'm not asking for forced smiles, but at least a more approachable tone would be nice. The bath amenities in the room weren't enough, so I asked housekeeping for more. The person who delivered them just scowled, said nothing, handed them over, and left. It was really frustrating. The hot springs area was decent, with two floors and an outdoor section. The breakfast was another story. I've never seen a resort breakfast only served until 9:30 AM. We arrived close to 9 AM, and while there were still many diners, a lot of items weren't being replenished. The toaster burned the bread, and the freshly cooked wontons and noodles were clearly frozen. This kind of breakfast was priced at over 100 RMB. The room facilities were just standard chain hotel quality, definitely not worth the 2000 RMB per night. Because of the hot springs, there were very few places to hang swimsuits and towels. For a 2000 RMB per night room, there was no mini-bar, nothing in the fridge, and the coffee on the table was the cheap, 1.8-gram instant kind. While the room temperature was warm, there was no humidifier. If you're going out for activities like rafting, the hotel does offer partnered car services. They're a bit more expensive than a taxi, but the driver will wait for you, so you don't have to call for a car after your activity. Overall, my experience at this hotel was very negative. From the exterior, the hotel looks luxurious and aims for a high-end image, but the internal staff seemed untrained and couldn't keep up with the service expected of a five-star hotel."

Udbudt opsamlingsservice fra stationen og faldt.Receptionen var langt fra foran hotellet, så da vi var på vej op for at gå tilbage til stationen stod vi i koldt for 20min+. Hotelpersonalet sagde, at det ville ankomme på 2:30pm, men kom ikke før 2:55pm. Da vi ikke ville gå glip af busen, kunne vi ikke gå tilbage til receptionen, da det var som en 5min. gåtur (Kan henvise til natpi, kan ikke engang se receptionen fra nærmeste til forsiden af hotellet). Besøgende bør overveje at vente længere på receptionen, før de går ud, da thr bus henter andre besøgende fra hotellet først. Vi så små søde ræve ud om natten."

We had a child with us, and after speaking with the hotel, they kindly provided breakfast vouchers, which was a really thoughtful touch. We were very satisfied with everything.
