"This hotel's hygiene and environment were truly appalling, beyond my comprehension. It was my first time in Zigui, and I was hoping to see the Three Gorges Dam, so I booked a river-view room to see the Yangtze River. But when I checked in and opened the curtains, I was almost dumbfounded. There was no river view at all; it was just a residential area. The Yangtze River was only faintly visible in the distance. The room was also filthy. Despite the large room size, the air conditioning was completely ineffective. The dust and stains on the bedside table hadn't been wiped. The tissue box, despite its size, contained tissues that seemed smaller and less valuable than those found on Pinduoduo. The TV was tiny, and the TV wall frame instantly lowered the room's perceived quality. The spare blanket in the wardrobe hadn't been cleaned of hair. The toilet was filthy, and the water pressure was incredibly low… In short, it was terrible, not worth the expensive booking. I didn't see the river view, and the environment and hygiene were awful. Even in downtown Yichang, the room rate was much higher. They should go abroad and learn from them!"

"My family and I stayed at what's considered the best hotel in Zigui. The view over the river was great, with a view of the dam in the distance. However, the hotel facilities were disappointing. The water in the bathtub was yellow. We waited for a long time for a repairman at 11 PM, but we still couldn't use the shower. The repairman came and said it was an old plumbing problem, but there was nothing he could do. He said just drain the water for ten minutes. After draining it for over half an hour, the water was still yellow. We were so tired that night, so we just had to make do with a shower. The hotel knew it was an old plumbing problem but never fixed it. For some reason, they didn't proactively inform guests or offer compensation, perhaps because they didn't care about their guests staying. It still falls short of a star-rated hotel in every aspect. Although the price is quite high at over 900 yuan a night, I hope this issue will be addressed soon. As a local, I also hope Xijiang becomes a hallmark of Zigui's service!"

"The hotel is located next to Mixc City, about 500 meters walk from Qu Yuan's Former Residence. We drove there and parked on the -2 level, then took the elevator to the hotel. There's a supermarket in Mixc City right next to the hotel, with a wide variety of food and daily necessities at reasonable prices. I'd recommend it for anyone driving to stock up on supplies. In the evenings, there are street vendors on both sides of the road, perfect for a night market stroll and buying some fruit after dinner. For meals, you can head to Miaozui, about 1km from the hotel, where there are restaurants lining both sides of the street."
