"It was basically a makeshift hospital, completely soundproof. I was woken up countless times throughout the night by the cawing of crows, airplane noises, and the chirping of insects. The outdoor streetlights outside the window above my head flickered on and off, which was incredibly eerie. There was no mention of children not being allowed when I booked, and I was charged extra upon check-out. In short, a terrible experience. If it weren't on an island, who would pay 1000 RMB to stay here?"

Oceana Portvillage Zamami ★★★

"The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was great. It was only a few minutes' walk to the port, and there were dive shops and restaurants right outside. The breakfast restaurant was also excellent, and it was very convenient to have instant noodles if you got hungry at night."

Hanamuro Inn AKA Island ★★

"Close to the port, the beach is right at the door, there is an outdoor bathtub, and the lady boss is very nice You can rent bicycles, life jackets and masks and snorkels. I saw cold weather jackets but I’m not sure if they can be rented. As if there is nothing to do on Aka Island, it is recommended to bring instant noodles directly from the main island. There are no restaurants on the island. There are three small grocery stores, but it is better to bring them directly from the island. You can buy beer there."

"They provide transportation to and from the port. The room was very stylish. Coffee beans and a mill are provided in the room, so you can enjoy freshly ground coffee yourself, which is highly recommended. The towels and slippers were fluffy and comfortable. The food was an original course meal that was not only delicious but also visually appealing."
