"This was our second visit to Cay beach Papagayos. We were here last October and enjoyed it so much that we chose to return! We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment (3 of us). It was spotlessly clean and very spacious . There is plenty of storage in the bedrooms and the kitchen is modern. Some of the living room furniture is a little dated but was fine. We had 2 lovely balconies and 2 massive bathrooms! The pool area is peaceful with an abundance of sun loungers . There isn't a pool bar here nor a restaurant however you will never struggle to get a lounger by the pool and it's very peaceful. It's a short stroll to Hyper Dino (5-10 mins) and buses run every half hour from outside the main door to the marina and main resort areas though they are walkable. If you're looking for a peaceful holiday and enjoy eating out then we would recommend staying here! "

"My mum and I have just returned from a 3 day break at the Royal Monica and feel compelled to write a review after our wonderful stay. This was our first time in Lanzarote and the resort of Playa Blanca was perfect for us - beautiful long promenades for running and walking and the hotel overlooks cove beaches and the sea - exactly what we wanted for a lovely relaxing stay. On arrival, the reception team were friendly and helpful. We booked a sea view family room (highly recommend) and opened up our balcony doors to sea and hear the sea every day. The hotel and rooms were always cleaned and serviced regularly. Meal choices were much better than many 4 star AI resorts we have stayed in before including vegetarian options. Always plenty of choices, great mealtimes and staff were always friendly and attentive. Evening entertainment, like many hotels, can be a little hit and miss but the animation team were friendly and welcoming and worked hard to make sure everyone had fun! Although the hotel is 3 star, the staff, service, food and location make this closer to a 4 star. Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay. We look forward to returning to Lanzarote and the SBH Royal Monica in the future,"

"Warm welcome, superb location. Lovely 45-minute walk to Cala Blanca. Regarding the hotel itself, nice pool, clean hotel. Entertainment every evening. However, the restaurant is very noisy and lacks charm; it feels like a hospital cafeteria. The food is okay, but nothing special."

"Stayed in a junior suite. Room was very spacious, fridge, kettle and air con in lounge , tvs in lounge and bedroom, free safe in bedroom. A large bathroom with shower gels. Towels changed and rooms cleaned daily. Our cleaner - Jacqueline,( I think), was excellent. Refundable deposit on pool towels , €10 each, good quality and can change regularly. Had a problem with air con at first, maintenance men were very efficient and after a few problems sorted it out. All staff here work hard, really pleasant. Faty was really helpful on reception, Denis very friendly and efficient in restaurant and bar. Food was good, plenty of choice and fresh fish/ meat cooked to order. Lovely salads , desserts and fresh omelettes at breakfast. Everywhere was clean and ongoing maintenance was evident. Pools were ideal for a decent swim, we preferred the quieter one, usually sun beds were available, although some people reserved with their towels for hours, without turning up - frustrating. Location was ok, a little further out from the town than we usually prefer, but was a shuttle bus to the beach twice a day, if needed. Not much going on in the evenings re entertainment but we like going into the town."

"Our second visit here and loved it even more than the first time! Fab location and great atmosphere around the pool during the day and the team kept us entertained at night. The entertainment team were fantastic right up until the moment we left and made us feel so comfortable during the daytime games. Not normally something I would partake in! Brayan(unsure of spelling?!) and Maria were absolutely fabulous and made our whole family welcome. My daughter loved kids club and although all the team looked after her brilliantly, Mery Jane has a special place in her heart for sure! Didn't tire of the food in 2 weeks, cleaners efficient and friendly, reception staff always happy to help and also friendly. Apartments a little tired but wouldn't hesitate to go back! Thank you all for a lovely holiday ♥️"
