"This hotel is a disaster in terms of reception and service, to the point that it was my first and last experience at an Atour group hotel! I strongly advise the Atour group to take action, because I think that, like us, many customers will boycott this brand after an experience at this establishment. I intend to write to the group's management! Supposedly a superior hotel! Upon arrival, a receptionist with no smile, no friendliness, who didn't speak a word of English, and who made no effort whatsoever, but after contacting Tripadvisor about the problem, a receptionist magically produced an automatic translator! So, we had a room booked for 12:00 PM. Extremely tired after a 4-hour flight and a 4-hour train journey with a major transport delay, we arrived at 6:30 PM, dark and raining, and the receptionist told us the room was still occupied and we had to wait! Without a word, just a wave of the hand, like "move away from the counter," we found ourselves in the lobby without any further explanation. Forty-five minutes later, the room was ready, but there were no instructions on how to get there, nor any information about the amenities or breakfast... figure it out yourself! Finally, we were in the room. It was 16°C inside, 15°C outside, but it matched the description. We were hoping for a nice bath to unwind! But no! There was no bath cover! We called the hotel again, and they informed us that they were out of bath covers! (A superior hotel, I remind you!), he told us they would order some and have them delivered, but two hours later he said it was impossible to get a delivery because of the rain... I called Trip! again, and then, as if by magic, 15 minutes later, the cover arrived. A bath at last at 11 pm, after a long day... The night was a mixed bag with the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, but the room was truly excellent; it was! Going to breakfast, you have to search for it, since there are no instructions! On the 25th floor, I finally found the restaurant at 9 am and noticed that there wasn't much left, the tables hadn't been cleared, and the hygiene left much to be desired... I attributed this to disrespectful customers helping themselves to food both on their plates and around the presentations. But nobody cleans... Arriving in the evening, I found myself on the doorstep of my room because the key card had been incorrectly configured, because the reservation had been incorrectly registered, requiring three requests for our passports in 36 hours to re-register us!!! The epitome of hotel professionalism!!! And they didn't speak a word of English!!!... In this whole ordeal, only the cleaning staff and two other receptionists had a smile and a greeting."

"True to its reputation as the first InterContinental hotel in Xingtai, the quality is undeniable. The room was spacious, and the decor followed the brand's signature style. The bellhop proactively helped with our luggage, and Rea at the front desk processed our check-in with a smile, very efficiently, and even provided details about breakfast times and location. Any issues we had were met with quick and positive responses. Manager Lucas was also incredibly helpful, assisting us promptly with any travel questions or minor hiccups we encountered, showcasing both professionalism and genuine enthusiasm. These two individuals, in particular, made our stay so enjoyable. I will continue to choose InterContinental Group hotels in the future."

I was particularly impressed by the owner's hospitality. Although there were a few minor issues during my stay, the owner's sincere efforts to resolve them made me feel truly at home. The next morning, our car battery died, and the owner drove over to help us jump-start the car. I will definitely recommend this guesthouse to my friends, and I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Xingtai."
