"The previous reviews had me so freaked out that I actually bought an air mattress for fear that the place would be that awful. Far from it. No, it’s not fancy, nor it is at all updated. If you’re expecting luxury here, you’ve booked the wrong place by far. What it is, however, is clean, quiet, and centrally located. I was assigned room 109, just down the hallway from the main lobby (very convenient). The room was a little small, but perfect for me and my 9 year old daughter. Air conditioning was great, the bed was comfortable, and we had no issues with bugs or vermin or mold or anything like it. It was perfectly fine. Fridge and microwave were included and worked great. TV was entertaining. Shower was amazing - water pressure was absolutely perfect. The outside porch facing the ocean was a HUGE treat. A terrific place to rock and sip your morning coffee. The ONLY thing that was maybe a problem was that the room door “stuck” a little and getting in and out of the room took a little muscle, but it was so incredibly minor an issue that I’d hardly call it a detractor. I would definitely book again. I came in with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised."

"Everything was great! "Peaches" was our check in girl and she was so sweet and kind. Above and beyond welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable except the beds are a little bit firm. Staff were knowledgable with every question we asked throughout our stay. The walk to the beach is quicker then it takes the red light to change. On check out day we asked if it would be ok if we left the car in the parking lot and hang out at the pool for a few hours before heading home, and they were perfectly cool with that. the roof top pool is so nice with a bar and constant breeze. We reserve a "Bay front" room, but we unexpectedly had a really nice view of the bay from our room. These are the reasons I've been coming back the Princess Bayside for years."

"One of the most dilapidated places I've been to. Holes in the wall, stuck doors, lack of outlets, and a slight functioning bathroom fan is just a sample. Had a noisy couple out on 1st floor walkway at early morning and late night smoking and drinking. Reported it to the front desk for a resolution and nothing. Housekeeping is a hit or miss. Change of sheets non-existant, fresh towels, you bring them to the office to get fresh ones. The place is badly outdated and it shows. Property owner should invest in updating their facilities and management."
