"Room smelt of dogs. Found an air freshener in socket that had run out. Went to reception to complain about the awful smell of dogs; mentioned window was open and the air freshener. We don’t supply air fresheners was the reply, didn’t address the smell. We were there for 3 nights had to sleep with window open because of smell. Therefore we could her the traffic so didn’t sleep well. Reception couldn’t care less about situation. Wouldn’t stay again and wouldn’t recommend."

"First time at the Polzeath beach house and would definitely come back. Great situation above Polzeath beach so amazing views. So convenient to get down on the beach and for walking along the coast path. Room are sparkling clean and look as if they have just been furnished. Very comfortable bed, can't think of anything to criticise. We had breakfast and an evening meal at their adjoining restaurant, again really good. Really nice staff. There is a good balance between being relaxed and informal but at the same time being professional"
