"I booked a room with pictures based on the highest price, but when I checked in, they told me I had booked the cheapest option! I showed the booking and pictures to the hotel attendant, who said she had nothing to do with it. She said it was the difference in price that Ctrip took! She demanded I pay 1,000 euros to stay in the room I booked! This is utter rubbish! A complete scam! (The attendant was a black woman with a very rude attitude. I tried to video-record our conversation, and I told her I'd confront Ctrip, but she refused. It was late with my kids, so I didn't want to argue and just checked in.)"

"One of the best places I have stayed in, among the last 18 days in France. Let me begin with the service. Despite the heavy snow going on, the concierge stayed outside to carry all our luggage with smiles and advised us on how/where to park… At the Peacock bar, Mr Leon was an amazing host , extremely helpful in all our various enquiries! Perfect concierges on top of his waiter skills. (I would say he topped the service skills to all my hotel experiences in the last 20 years). Finally the service at breakfast was really professional yet extremely friendly/caring and helpful given the heavy snow situation and all the driving restrictions around; the staff really cared and advised us on potential options to ease our journey. The only other note would be on the breakfast food quality and variety. It was just perfect. Nothing to say. All choices. Upper quality. Thank you. Let s hope we come back soon!"

"Well located and very friendly hotel with excellent parking! The hotel itself is clean, well managed and we found our rooms to be spacious. Everything worked and the optional breakfast was pretty good, if with limited choices. There were boiled eggs available, yoghurts, fresh croissants, bread and rolls. Good coffee too. The hotel its self is well maintained but constrained by the age of the building. The beds were comfortable and the parking very convenient, in a private courtyard within the hotels grounds. Parking is nearly impossible in Versailles so this was an excellent facility. And yes you are within a five-ten min walk to Versailles. There are also many bars and restaurants in the immediate area but the hotel was still quiet inside and we were not disturbed at all."

"The hotel is quite old. The table was stained and dirty, and the chairs were torn. When checking in, the staff claimed they hadn't received payment from Trip.com, which caused a long delay. They demanded an email confirmation and additional documents, and said they would charge me again. This wasted so much time that I missed my scheduled palace visit and the pre-booked tickets. There's no washing machine in the accommodation. The sauna room was quite dirty and didn't seem to be cleaned often. Used towels were piled high on the chairs."

"We are a trip.com Diamond and we are usually pretty happy about trip.com Be careful when booking this Pavillon. It is in a separate building with limited services. the Waldorf is listed as a 5 star hotel and charged you as a 5 star hotel. This Pavillon is listed as 4 star on other Online Travel Agent such as competitors of trip.com and trip.com didn't make this is obvious at the time of booking. We were given a room with a small window in the basement with the top of the windows looking at the ground. Highly recommend you not to book this Pavillon. For a 4 star hotel, this is way overpriced. We will not book this Pavillon wing again. Attached you may see the windows and room which are very different from what we saw at the time of booking. While we asked if we could change to room in the other building, there was empty room but you have to pay extra (Front office quoted Eur 130)."
