"A table was booked for 6pm and we arrived just ahead of that and they were ready for us. The building was accessible for my brother (who is a wheelchair user-minus his assisted arm sling which we removed as it makes him wider than a standard wheelchair) and the staff were really friendly and the table was clean. They advised us that where we were was table service and they’ll be back for our orders. The views where we sat were lovely! Unfortunately, the service was so slow. Though drinks arrived within 10 minutes of our arrival and our orders taken after flagging down a member of staff. my aunts’ starter arrived at 18:35 (not too bad). We all then waited until 19:20 for our mains to arrive and it was a struggle to get any bodies attention as there was about 4 staff trying to take orders, serve food, pay bills, get drinks, answer questions for everyone indoors and outside. My brother and I had the fish sharer for £50 but sadly everything was fried for too long. The scampi was dry and stuck to the edges making them almost hollow inside, cod bites batter was dripping with grease, the crab pot was a large sauce mixture of brown crab meat and the calamari was chewy though had a light batter. The best part was the prawn cocktail on a bed of salad. Some kind of bread would have been great to serve with this platter. We ordererd a side of chips and onion rings (though, again greasy) were nice. The tartare sauce tasted homemade and was nice. My sister enjoyed her burger and my aunt enjoyed her gammon though she thought slightly too salty but great portions. My brother in law had the meat plater for £48 which included halloumi fries but they were fried for so long you could literally snap them in half and chicken strips and mac and cheese were really dry. We couldn’t get hold of any staff member to say and no one came by to see if everything was alright with the meal so at the end of dinner we said so much was left as some of the things weren’t right and he just said ‘sorry about that’ and proceeded to say please pay at the bar. We were so excited to try here, but so sad to say we won’t be back. Maybe just popping in for a drink and enjoying the view will be better."
