"We had a very nice stay at Van der Valk Hotel Venlo. We were here for a wedding and everything was very well cared. The hotel is clean, atmosphere and clean. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and luxurious throughout the stay. The rooms were comfortable and modernly furnished and the general rooms were also well-paid. Breakfast and service were top-ranging. Surely a fine place for both night and special occasion. We have enjoyed it and we would certainly come back here again!"

I had a confirmed booking but could not access the hotel on arrival, and instead of helping or taking responsibility, the receptionist was rude and dismissive the next day. I was told management would contact me, but nobody followed up. My messages were also ignored. Very disappointing and unprofessional."

"Don't be taken in by the write up. Firstly this is not a bed and breakfast. This is a couple of rooms above a cafe with no room service that will for an extra £15 each give you a breakfast in the cafe. ( It is a wonderful breakfast but does not make up for it) rooms at the top of done very steep very dangerous stairs.. room very basic very poor and so called private bathroom had no external lock so other guests used it for the toilet.. yes in centre but that just meant noisy drinks and people smoking ***** below our window.. overall not worth the money..."

"Tjenesten er fin. Maden er fin. Personale meget venlig. God beliggenhed. Vores værelse var rimeligt, Vaskebakken var helt brudt gennem og gennem, ikke rigtig sikker. Kammerbelysningen faldt af og til delvis ud. I brusebadet Brand kun 1 lampe ipv 2 stykker."

"A great hotel for one or two nights. Beautiful cycling routes nearby, and not to forget the Castle Gardens of Arcen. The staff shortage was noticeable, but they did their utmost to make everyone feel welcome."
