Hotel le Roi

"Vi tilbragte en dejlig weekend i Varazze og boede på Hotel Le Roi.Vi nydte alt om vores ophold.Udsigten til havet fra vores værelse var helt spektakulær.Maden på hotellets restaurant, Blu de Mare, var også spektakulær. Vi havde pizza, pasta, grillet fisk og frisk havføde til vores måltider og tiramisu til dessert.Det var den bedste mad, vi har haft i Italien indtil videre.Kokken/ejeren var meget opmærksom på vores behov, og hans personale var meget venligt og hjælpsomt. Vores værelse var meget ren og komfortabel, og vi nydte at sidde ud på vores balkon og nyde udsigten. Hotellet er en kort gåtur til stranden, og der er en fodgængervej, der går hele vejen til hovedstrengen af butikker og restauranter i byen. En af de ting, vi kunne lide om Hotel Le Roi, er, at det er mere privat end nogle af hotellerne på hovedstregen i byen. Vi betalte for parkering på hotellet og gik derefter overalt, men for dem, der ikke kan lide at gå eller ikke kunne gå på hjørner eller snævre skridt, er det omkring 3-minutters kørsel til hoveddelen af byen. Byen er familievenlig og kæledyrvenlig.Der var børn, der legede, og folk gik rundt om deres hunde.Det var en smuk weekend."

"This hotel is in the most beautiful setting. It’s a little dated but that adds to its charm. The waiting staff are really helpful and friendly. The food is amazing. It’s a short walk to the lovely town of Taormina and the bus station is right behind so convenient for getting around. Not great for those with mobility issues as there’s lots of steps and located high up."

Hotel Villa Centa

"It's a nice and welcoming hotel, not too far from the city centre, but distant enough to be in a quiet area. The rooms are clean, fairly nice and cosy, but they are not very modern. The quality of the bedsheets is not the best, definitely can be improved. A big issues for me is that the rooms' doors are fire doors which close by themselves, so in the morning when the other guests go downstairs for breakfast it can be very noisy with all the slamming doors. A part from that in the evening is very quiet. The breakfast buffet is very generous, there are a lot of options and is quite tasty. The hotel is managed by the owner and his family, which are all very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers a few discounts for some restaurants and lido in town. Parking is a bit tricky, they have a few available spots, but then you won't be able to take the car everyday, so the best solution is to park on the road which can be difficult because there are not many parking spots available. If they update a bit the rooms and fix the problem with the slamming door I would be happy to come back. The price is fair considering location and quality of room and services. "
