Vail Residences at Cascade Village, Part of Hyatt

"We were torn between getting two rooms at the Grand Hyatt hotel and getting a condo at the Vail Residences. We booked the condo and it was the wrong call. I’m sure it varies by unit but we booked a 2 bedroom Platinum condo directly with Hyatt and we were given a 3 bedroom “Penthouse” unit that was in a building attached to the hotel by a walkway. The hotel itself was great, we loved the lobby bar, ate dinner at the restaurant, loved the live music and had great service. Having the condo attached to the hotel was also really convenient. The condo, however, was just a huge disappointment. There was a full-size bed (not even a queen) in the primary bedroom, and the other two rooms were both downstairs with twin beds. The decor throughout was early 90s modern—really weird given the mountain setting and just cheap looking, uncomfortable and badly decorated throughout. I know there are 3 different levels of condos, this one was “Platinum” and Hyatt should not be renting these at that (or any) level until they are at a minimum redecorated and possibly renovated (the gearing system was really old and impossible to figure out, bathrooms were weird, etc…). We considered moving to the condo next door and it was no better. That said, the hotel ambiance and amenities were great and had we just been in regular hotel rooms at the Grand Hyatt, we would have been fine."

Marriott's StreamSide Birch at Vail

"I reserved a studio villa at Birch and it has a murphy bed. I honestly think the one weird thing (and I've stayed at other places/hotels with Murphy beds) was there were no sheets ready to go on the bed and pillows were no where to be found. Had to dig around and I found a bag in the closet that had a flat sheet and a pillow, but surely it is all extra bedding. Not even a comforter to be found. Never had to make my own bed in a hotel..."

Simba Run Vail Condominiums

"Vi havde en komfortabel opholdstid i Simba Run for familie af fire.Den havde fremragende faciliteter som fuld køkken, vaskemaskine/tørretumbler, pool, gym, parkering og skishuttle.Det eneste, der mangler, er blackout blinds eller gardiner. Tjenestepersonalet er meget pæne mennesker, og de er altid tilgængelige for hjælp."

"Vi havde en 3-værelses suite, der var spektakulær.Hver aspekt af service på Ritz var top-notch.Inklusive to gange om dagen.Vi gik til Iron Mountain Hot Springs, som var meget afslappende. Vi gjorde også Leadville ATV Tour, som var en ting at gøre, hvis du er i området. Vi spillede golf på Eagle Vail, Eagle Ranch og Vail Golf Course, som alle var værd prisen (alle under $190.Søndagsmarkedet i Vail er fantastisk, og vi købte flere lokale produkter. Vi lod os i Ritz poolen, spiste ud flere dage på lokale Vail restauranter, men vi lavede også mad i vores fulde køkken 4 af 9 vi var der.Vi brugte den utrolige gym på Ritz og gik 3 plus kilometer om dagen langs Gorge River spor.Hver aften på 4 har de Varme chokoladechip cookies og ved 5 PM giver de 10th Mountain bourbon skud til at brødføde 10th Mountain Company, der var en hovedårsag til, at Vail, Breckenridge og andre skiområder i området eksisterer! Alle disse aktiviteter gjorde vi hver dag med store smil på vores ansigt.Vi nydte også den daglige aften live musik enten inde i baren eller udenfor på brandhøjden med s’mores.Vi hadede at forlade efter vores ni dages ophold."
