"An ok resort to take family for a brief vacation. They have a shop on the resort with limited items. Make sure you bring everything you need as outside shops are far. The buffet just ok, nothing special. Bring lots of mosquito repellents. Some equipment in the play zone broken. Restaurant orders take a bit of time when they are full."

"The views are spectacular. The chalets we booked are modern and clean. It is relaxing for a few days, but the activities are overpriced, so it could be a problem for a longer stay. Downside: We booked 1 room as a couple and the rest of the family booked a full chalet. The downside is if you do not book a full chalet, you share the chalet with strangers, where the entrance and entrance hall are shared. It was awkward for us as they had the lounge/kitchen and room, but left their door wide open, so when we came to our room, we were blasted with their noise and cooking smells. Our room just smelled like food. The full chalet is better as each room has their own en-suite bathroom and can accommodate families and friends, yet still giving everyone their privacy."

"The standard hotel room was very comfortable and had all we needed for a very pleasant 3-night stay. The food at every meal was delicious and there was enough variety to suit every palate. There was lots of information on walks and hikes and other activities which made it easy to do things on your own or at specified times in organised groups."

"We stopped over on the way back from the north coast and really enjoyed our stay, we last stayed here in the early 2000’s and it’s as good as I remember it being then, from the guards the gate to check in and all the staff in between the service was amazing with a smile on everyone’s faces. We ate supper at the restaurant twice and enjoyed the food. We did a hike which was well marked and challenging with the views. We stayed in a self catering unit 114 which was well appointed and clean. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again."

"Jeg tror ikke, min kone kunne have valgt et bedre sted for os. Fra indkvartering, venlig, opmærksom personale og den generelle atmosfære i Three Tree Hill, det leverede alt, hvad vi håbede på, og vi tog chancen for at tage deres Battlefield-ture, hesteridning og gåture. Min kone fokuserede på at slappe af med en bog ved siden af vores lille pool samt heste ride, mens jeg tog alle tre af deres lokale kampturer, kampene i Ladysmith, Colenso og Spionkop.Jeg blev taget på disse turer af både Ruben og Simon ejeren. Begge gjorde et fantastisk stykke arbejde, og jeg nydte især de laminerede billeder af mange af de enkelte, der var involveret i kampene, hvilket virkelig tillod mig at forbinde mændene med historien. Selvom Spionkop er meget speciel, at gøre alle tre turer tillod mig at forstå det større billede.Tak til alle på Tree Hill, vil vi helt sikkert komme tilbage."

We were a group of 8 spanning three generations, gathered to celebrate a 21st birthday, and every detail was perfect. "I've been here numerous times, even flown in once which was fun. The general area has lots to do from bird viewing to bird shows, hiking, cycling, golf, wonderful artisinal shops, the best zipline I've used and more. Dragon Peaks itself has spectacular views of Cathkin Peak, Sterkhorn and Champagne Castle. We had both chalet and camping accommodation on this trip. The camping ablutions are the only let down in peak season with little hot water."

"The overlook exterior look needs some tlc…..simple things like cutting grass, security uniform even gold shirts so its easy to recognise that this is security and this is housekeeping staff and so forth… Room was okay for the amount we paid but there was no 2 pin plug so we could charge our phones, no telephone to call reception to enquire, we needed an iron and an ironing board , we were given a small dirty iron with no ironing board because it broke. Luckily we didn’t experience loadshedding as there was no back up."

She was so obliging and walked down to the guest room with milk, tea, sugar and coffee in hand to check us in. The room, kitchenette and bathroom was exceptionally clean. We were never asked for payment at any stage of our stay. I would highly recommend Memra Regards Charlton "

"I booked three chalets (from Australia for family reunion in SA after 3 years) for 27 -29 December 2024 which turned out to be a disaster. Late check in (4-5 hours late), rooms were not cleaned, and toilet was not working. No wifi. I almost wanted to book an additional night or two, however did not. There was no offer to compensate the poor service and mismanagement of this facility, nor refund for delays and poor facilities. It's a pity that such a beautiful location is mismanaged and misrepresented. Trust and service will take time to re-build. Your future is not good."

"The resort is rated 4 star and luxurious accommodation on online platforms. This rating is actually what attracted me to book the place. However, the condition of the chalet that I was booked in with my family is equivalent to a 2 star and not luxurious at all. Firstly, the carpets are worn out particularly the main bedroom such that every night I had to put bathroom towel so that I don't see the worn out. Secondly, the light bulb in the main bedroom did not have a cover thus exposed us to safety hazard. Thirdly, there was lot of dirt in between the wardrobe drawers. Fourthly, as a result of worn out carpet in the bedrooms, there was a terrible smell. We survived due to the room spray that we bought on our way when we we were buying bath towels. Thank God. There's too much flies such that some were just dying and falling down. The cleaning of the chalets is done on daily basis but there's no supervision to check the cleanliness hence the in between the drawers is extremely dirty. However, on the positive side, the place has beautiful views and lots of family activities and entertainment. If you are looking for a peaceful rest, this not the place because the music by the swimming pool can be excessive through out the day."

"We enjoyed our three night stay at Little Switzerland. We had sumptuous breakfasts daily and excellent dinners. Chef Robert cooked excellent meals for the guests. The steaks , beef roasts and lamb currry was fantastic.The accomodation was clean , well maintained rooms were cleaned daily.We booked Executive Suite 31 with beautiful views , it is also very close to the restaurant. The Spa provided excellent service. We enjoyed the Swedish Massage we recieved from the friendly very experienced masseurs. Well managed resort."

"We loved our stay at Gooderson Monks Cowl, except that our bike and scooter was stolen at night, left outside the front door. The rooms are clean and they have everything one needs. The dam view was picturesque. The restaurant was well priced. The games/conference room had a functioning pool table and fuse ball game but needed a vacuum and dust. The putt putt course was fun. Unfortunately the weather was cold and rainy so we could not use the water slides and pools, but there is a lot to do in the area. The Reptile Park was great, the Waffle Hut and Chocolate Memories centres have beautiful gardens and jungle gyms for kids. The Bakery was beautiful and had delicious eats. All in all a great stay, besides the bike and scooter being stolen."

"Få boliger fortjener ordet "særligt" – Dette gør.Cheryl og Simon Blackburn har bygget noget virkelig sjældent: et sted, hvor ekstraordinære landskaber, livshistorie og virkelige samfundsmæssige virkninger ankommer i samme ånde. Lodget sidder i spionkops lejr, et af Anglo-Boer-krigens blodigste kampområder, og historien er vævet i alt – ikke som en gimmick, men med virkelig dybde og lidenskab. Fra hovedverandaen ser du giraffe, rhino og zebra med hendes kalv frit bevæge sig gennem reserven. Hvis du ikke ønsker at se så langt, så føl dig fri til at nyde dyrene, der roamer direkte uden for logi – heste, hunde, katte, alle dem glade og nysgerrige at møde gæster. Maden er usædvanlig i hele verden, og som vegetar blev jeg kigget efter hver måltid meget tænksomt – Jeg følte mig grundigt set! De er rummelige, spotless og fulde af karakter – tænker broderet hør, kolonialrør og en privat veranda med udsigter, der gør det virkelig vanskeligt at forlade. Luftkonditionering og alle moderne komfort er diskrete til stede, men den generelle følelse er varm og uforståelig i stedet for virksomhed.Hvad sætter tre træhjørne adskilt, er den samfundstur, der ledes af manager Ntobeko. Hun gik gennem logiets arbejde i Hambrook-byen: en mikrovirksomheds inkubator, der støtter lokale kvinder, en levende demonstration af kobbertråde mat-making, og en introduktion til en kvinde, der angiveligt er over 110 år gammel. All of this funded quietly through the loge’s own community levy.It was the most unexpectedly moving afternoon of the whole trip.Farm-to-table, Fair Trade certified, solar-powered – here you experience sustainability first hand. "Went here for lunch with friends. Most of us had a burger which was really delicious. 2 guests had steak which they said was inedible and sent back. Management staff were not very accommodating. To be fair this sort of venue should really only offer pub grub. Burgers pizza etc. Setting was lovely with great views over dam. We were not staying at resort. Staying at a much nicer caravan camping resort nearby."
