The front desk staff at the Hongshan branch were incredibly enthusiastic and accommodating. They were always ready to help and provided solutions to any issues we had. When I wanted to mail something back, all I had to do was arrange for a courier to pick it up, and I could just leave the package with the front desk. The staff always greeted us warmly, and if they saw us with a lot of bags, they'd immediately offer to help carry them. Their enthusiasm was just amazing. Thumbs up!"

"I previously stayed at Mehood Lestie in Chongzuo and had a fantastic experience. They offered complimentary cold drinks, afternoon tea, and even late-night snacks during the scorching summer, which was very impressive. The service was excellent, and the price was quite reasonable. This time, I booked the same Mehood Lestie for convenience as I was transferring from a train to a flight the next day. Overall, it was good. Initially, I was given a room that smelled of smoke, but after a quick call, they promptly moved me to another room. The breakfast spread was extensive. To my surprise, I even caught a sunrise from my room the next morning. However, one thing to note is that some room types have steps inside, which made me a bit nervous, fearing I might trip during the night. Luckily, that didn't happen."

"The price of the Hilton Urumqi isn't low, but the facilities are a bit dated. Specifically, the hairdryer could be upgraded; the old model has terrible airflow, it takes ages to dry my hair, and I had to wait for it to air dry before I could sleep. For a room that costs around 1500 a night, there's definitely room for improvement in many areas. The mattress wasn't very comfortable either. Parking at the entrance was quite convenient, and the hotel lobby looks grand and stylish. Breakfast was also good with a wide variety of options. I'd suggest improving the small details."
Urumqi Yizhongyuan Hotel (Hongshan People's Park Branch)
"The hotel is right next to the park, which makes it super convenient for a morning run. The complimentary swimming pool is part of a third-party gym located at the south end of the park. It's a 40-meter pool. The lanes are a bit narrower than standard, but for a free amenity, I can't complain, and it's definitely better than the typical small pools you find at most hotels. In the mornings, the park has a great jogging atmosphere, with lots of people exercising and even a breakfast market, which is quite interesting. The hotel's breakfast overall is just okay, but the beef noodles are incredibly fragrant! As you can see in the picture, three of us had five bowls – those noodles definitely get a thumbs-up!"

"The hotel is fairly well located due to ease of access to mei mei shopping mall (1 & 2) and museum. But, that's about it. Service level seems still work in progress. We stayed for 4 nights and were perplexed that our room key card did not work when we returned for the first and second night. When we went to the counter to sort out our card access issue the second night, we were then informed by the staff that the card require daily access update at the counter. This was not informed to us during check in and no hotel we've stayed at before function this way. After I've feedback to the staff, they process the card to function and work till I check out 2 days later. (Not sure why they did not set it to work for my entire stay duration in the first place like all other hotels) The daily clearing is not up to standard - the room were still dusty and hair in the bath tub was still present. The tour company recommended by the hotel (we book a day trip to tian chi) was of low quality and the tour guide will push you to purchase more tour experience unrelated to tian chi- please beware."
