"We stayed at Baga Otel for 7 nights in September, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is situated in a small cove outside of Akyaka, it’s right on the waterfront, and has a small beach, a pool, and several decked areas. There were plenty of sun beds, and the swimming was gorgeous, as the cove is a mix of warm sea water and cooler fresh water from the nearby river. The hotel building itself is set back a little from the waterfront, but we could still hear the waves lapping from our room, if we left the window open. Our room, whilst on the small side, was immaculately clean, as were all the public spaces. The bathroom was nice, with a powerful shower, and decent towels. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and pillows were of reasonable quality. The wifi was strong in our room, and also throughout the hotel. We got the impression that the hotel was mainly used to hosting Turkish guests, so the staff didn’t really speak much English, and at first they were a little reticent when dealing with us. But once they got used to us, and we tried out the few words of Turkish we knew, they were reasonably friendly. We were there on a bed & breakfast deal, and the Turkish Breakfasts we were served were just fabulous. Whole trays full of jams, eggs, cheeses, fruit, bread, borek, and cakes, along with coffee and Çay. We ate at the hotel restaurant most lunch-times, and had dinner there one night. The food was good, and it was reasonably priced. Most nights, we’d get the reception to call us a cab to take us into the town, a five minute ride, with a fixed price of 100tl (about £1.50) and eat at one of the many restaurants there. We really enjoyed our stay at Baga Otel, and our visit to the lovely Turkish holiday town of Akyaka. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, although if it’s important to you that the staff and locals speak perfect English, then this might not be the resort for you."

"We first discovered Baleze Boutique Hotel completely by chance in the year it opened. We loved it so much that we actually checked out of the hotel we were staying at and moved here instead! We returned twice after that, and following a three-year break, it was truly wonderful to be back again this year. What made us happiest was finding Baleze just as spotless, beautifully maintained, peaceful and welcoming as it was on our very first visit. Our heartfelt thanks go to the hotel manager, Mr. Yusuf, for keeping this lovely place in such wonderful condition. He is also an exceptionally warm, gracious and genuinely hospitable gentleman who makes his guests feel truly welcome. A very special thank you also goes to Ms. Arzu from the restaurant, who treated us as though we were guests in her own home. Her warmth, kindness and attentiveness added something very special to our stay. Surrounded by Akyaka’s extraordinary natural beauty and right beside the Azmak River, Baleze is one of those rare places where you can truly relax and recharge. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, peaceful and full of charm… Once again, we are leaving feeling happy, rested and refreshed. And don’t be fooled by its three-star rating — in our opinion, Baleze can make you feel far better looked after than many five-star hotels. And the breakfast? Forget five stars — it deserves ten! We sincerely hope this beautiful hotel continues exactly as it is under Mr. Yusuf’s management, and that we will have the pleasure of returning every year to enjoy both Akyaka and Baleze all over again. "This place was truly an unforgettable experience. We randomly came across it during this Aegean coast trip and the architecture drew us in. Once we got there it was like nowhere else we’d ever been, full of art, nature, unique decor and spectacular sea and mountain views. On top of this luxurious environment, the hosts were so friendly and welcoming - it’s a family-owned women-run establishment and the mom (Muge) is the architect. Så jeg gætter på, at morgenmad er 5-6 nok til folk. Jeg tror ikke, at der er 50 meter i Azmak, og jeg bliver her, når jeg kommer tilbage."
