"Located within a 5min walk from Uji station, the hotel is located on the southern side of the river close to many restaurants. Staff were friendly, the Bento Box breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was very clean. Will stay here again."

"This is a inn with a great Japanese feel to it. The host and hostess were friendly and could speak in English and Chinese. The hygenie was excellent and my room had its own bathroom. The building has a long history and creeks a bit when walking around. Guests rent a bed room and we all share the common room, kitchen. This place is located in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended!"

"Although the room appears to have four beds, it's actually for one person only. Extra beds can be used for multiple people. If you arrive early, you can leave your luggage there, and if the room is already cleaned, you might even be able to check in early. The location of this guesthouse is arguably the best in Uji, just over a minute's walk from Uji Bridge, and the Byodoin Omotesando is right outside the door. Unlike capsule hotels, this room is very quiet at night. This guesthouse accommodates a maximum of three groups of guests per day, so there's no pressure on the facilities. I sincerely recommend spending a whole day in Uji instead of traveling back and forth from Kyoto. First, Uji is truly worthwhile; I didn't want to leave until the very end. Second, the prices here are more attractive than in Kyoto, and you can store your luggage when you leave, so you can pick it up later when you go to other places like Kyoto. The owner has a collection of Sound! Euphonium anime posters, including some from old events. As a Sound! Euphonium fan myself, seeing these was truly heartwarming. Plus, there's a famous Sound! Euphonium curry restaurant right downstairs."
