"Det var vores tredje ophold i Tyrol, så vi er vant til høje østrigske standarder for mad og renhed, men det var endnu bedre end før.Alt var perfekt. Værelset var stort og rent med masser af plads, stor balkon og dejlig udsigt til Hintertux Gletcher.Mad var fremragende og hotellet har meget dejligt legeværelse i dage, hvor vejret ikke er så godt.Største plus er familie, der kører et hotel og arbejder hårdt for en hel dag. Du føler dig virkelig velkommen her.Hvis vi nogensinde kommer tilbage til Tux (og jeg håber, vi gør) vil vi helt sikkert blive her."

"In February, we returned to the Höllensteinhütte - and enjoyed our stay as much as before! We enjoyed every single moment of our stay - not least because of the great and personal hospitality of the Erler family (with Michael, Thomas, and Hubert at the personal frontline) as well as their service staff - warm thanks to the entire team. The Höllensteinhütte is a marvellous blend of a traditional Tyrolean alpin hut and a boutique hotel. Rooms are newly renovated and nicely furnished (for recent pictures visit their web page - pictures here seem to be mostly from before the renovation). Also for this year's return, we were enchanted by the location of the Höllensteinhütte on a calm mountain plain (Alm) again - looking from the balcony at the sun lit peaks in the morning, enjoying a hunter's tea (Jagatee) on the porch after "returning from the valley" in the afternoon, or enjoying the star-sprangled night sky before closing the day. This year, we brought snow shoes. We had tried them before on smaller hikes and enjoyed them during our stay for hikes starting "right in front of the breakfast table". Stepping out of the hut and stepping right in to the nature, hiking up into the mountains and returning without having to jump into the hustle and bustle of the valley was a special gift to us. We also enjoyed the half-board in full again. All food was very tasty - a lovely and wide selection of local produce for breakfast and a delicious 4 course dinner - for which we would happily award a personal "star". The Höllensteinhütte is a clear recommendation from us to everybody who would like to enjoy the calmness of the nature at a Tyrolean mountain hut, yet in reach to the Tux skiing area, combined with the comfort of a boutique hotel, and topped off by personal hospitality. We are determined to return."

"A huge disappointment!! I'd booked a spa day and was told via email that everything would be open from 11:00 AM. This was convenient, as my treatment was at 10:00 AM and I had to pick up my daughter at 2:00 PM. When I got home from my treatment, 70% of the spa facilities were still closed, and they didn't open until 2:00 PM. I was completely misinformed, even though I'd specifically asked in the email if everything would be open at 11:00 AM. I wanted to avoid disappointment, but unfortunately, it was. I did get my money back at the reception, but it wasn't exactly cordial! Never again."

Valara - Alpine Art Hotel

"Excellent hotel. Lovely staff warm welcoming and helpful. The restaurant provides an excellent buffet breakfast with a fine selection. My favourites are the freshly squeezed orange juice, carrot juice machine, Prosecco and the pancakes. Every day they serve a skiers tea between 3.30am and 5pm which is always hearty home cooked delicious food and cake. The evening meals are also very impressive. The location is the main reason we originally started using this hotel. It’s so close to the gondola and you can ski right down to the hotel on the beautiful snow road. The is one bar near which closed at 8pm. There is no night life in hintertux. It’s all about the skiing."

"Another spectacular stay at the Tuxerhof. Brought the whole family (16 people in total) for the 90th birthday of my mother. As usual, the team there made us feel special, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. When we asked for padded seats for our e-bike rentals, they went and bought brand new ones and had them ready when we needed them. The Tuxerhof difference. There's a reason this is one of the best hotels in the world."
