"There were so many things, but overall, all the staff were very hardworking, kind and good people! First of all, it seems that the reservation for 4 nights that I had made on Trip.com was not made at the time of check-in. There are many staff members, but there are only about two staff members who can communicate in English without any problems, and it was difficult to find them every time lol. I was hurriedly guided to my room, but I couldn't find the air conditioner remote control, and a staff member just brought me a towel (probably the room was hastily provided, so it was not fully prepared?) When I asked for the remote control at that time, they brought it to me relatively quickly. The wi-fi password was handwritten on the phone, but it was faded and I couldn't read it, so I looked for a staff member again and asked lol. I thought there would be hot water, but it was room temperature (it was a little cold at first, but if you try hard to take a shower, it feels like it's getting warmer for some reason, but it was exactly the same temperature lol) and the water pressure was quite weak. I asked the staff, but it seems that the temperature probably can't be changed. I asked them for at least the water pressure, and it improved a little. However, the water pressure was weak again the next night, so I asked them to adjust the water pressure every day for four days before taking a shower. When the staff came to check the water pressure, they stood on the bath mat with their shoes on, and the bath mat turned black because the shoes were wet with water... This happened two days in a row, so we told them that the water pressure had improved and it was okay to check it. It may be a cultural difference, but I guess they don't care about guests' bath mats turning black. The laundry service, free bicycle rental, and currency exchange that were listed on Trip.com (same as ***********) were not available lol The location is nice, right in front of the sea. It's a 10-20 minute walk to the town, but I was so scared of the stray dogs at night (they sleep and relax during the day, but are super active at night...) that I had to use a tuk-tuk every time. The hotel itself is not bad, but the shower was the only thing that bothered me. There were also frequent power outages every day. (It wasn't particularly difficult, but it sometimes took several hours lol) The staff were all really trying to solve the problem and listen to our requests. They were very calm and friendly, and always had a shy smile lol However, their English was quite weak, so it was necessary to be patient and communicate."

"This excellent hotel is really a resort. It is off the beaten path, but worth the extra travel time to get there. The staff are very friendly and the food at both restaurants is very good. There is easy access to the beach and it’s quiet. We were there for new years. I highly recommend it!"

Nilaveli Beach er omkring 400-500 meter fra hotellet.Gå langs vejen, ikke kritisk.Vi var to dage, ubehag vi ikke følte.I et par dage anbefales hotellet."

"I visited this place with my wife in July 2025. We were travelling to Trinco for 2 days. We were running late so we contacted the property. They asked us the approximate time we would take to reach the place and informed us that they would keep the a/c on an hour before we reach so we would be comfortable on arrival. This one act of service is where I would start off my opinion of this place. Here the service is something other hotels need to ponder upon. The staff are very friendly. They make sure to find out our needs and try to resolve it asap. They helped us find a good deal for snorkeling in Pidgeon island, they prepared a special Sri Lankan style breakfast and lunch on our request, they arranged transport for us in the early hours of the morning (Pickme/Uber was not responding at that time) at the last moment with no extra charge and so on. The friendly service and attention to our care really touched us and made our trip more memorable. In respect to the rooms, there is some aspects that need attention. Shower Plumbing, exhaust were issues, itsy bitsy details missing that would otherwise perfect the stay there. But the room was neat, washroom was clean, moderately sound insulated room. The basic facilities needed in a 3-4 star room were met. The pool was small but ok, but if you are spending your time around Alles Garden and the beach, the pool is irrelevant. I would say that, I really enjoyed my stay there. I really thank the staff there. I hope you continue to provide such wonderful service and hopefully if fate gives us a chance, we would definitely visit the property again. Thank you Havana Club."

"The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, and the hotel is located on the most beautiful beach ever! Swimming was simply wonderful; a highlight is the fantastic reef for snorkeling. Breakfast costs extra, but it's delicious, and you have a great view of the ocean. Unfortunately, everything is so run down that I can't give it more than 3 stars. The rooms are small, musty, have hardly any power outlets, and not even a window. The towels were horribly dirty. The breakfast tables and the loungers on the beach are completely broken and uncomfortable. I think with a little investment, they could really create a little paradise here again!"
