"We received a reasonably friendly welcome; the rooms were very clean, and the prices were reasonable. The breakfast, however, was unacceptable for getting a good start to the day. It was a complete disappointment: just one croissant per person, baguette with butter and jam, coffee, orange juice, cream cheese/yogurt in a cup, and cereal with milk. This cost €9 per adult and €5 per child (one child was two years old, the other four). We were shocked and only managed to get our fill because we had brought our own food in a cooler."

"Above & beyond any 5 star hotel and it was the second year I stayed for a week of rest. Service attitude was genuinely hospitality focused; housekeeping was immediately ready to respond to any needs; but what was unforgettably exceptional was what happened when I experienced a very unpleasant & disgusting medical emergency in their restaurant (necessitating ambulance etc) and they could not have been more sensitive, gentle, and supportive, repeatedly rejecting my attempts to apologize. An incredible 4 star hotel that should be 5 star, including for its gourmet restaurant."

La vue était également agréable, ce qui a fait le séjour encore plus agréable. Dans l’ensemble, une bonne expérience, simple et agréable."

"Another superb stay at this classical French hotel. These hotels are not easy to find anymore. Not a Marriott, not part of the Accor Group, but an independent gem. Driving from Amsterdam to the south of France it’s also an excellent stop. And Tournus is an impressive, old beautiful village. It all feels like the sixties, seventies, driving on the route National. The hotel hasn’t lost anything of its ambiance but the rooms are ofcourse all upgraded and super comfortable. The service is extremely friendly, helpful and proactive , the breakfast great. On top of you can make a reservation for one of their charging stations, on their premises."

"Dette er vores yndlingssted til at bo i både vinter og sommer.Huset og værelserne er tankevækkende dekoreret og meget komfortabelt. Der er smukke restauranter i Tournus, men vi foretrækker at spise de lækre måltider, der tilbydes i huset ledsaget af et glas af smukt lokalt Chardonnay, efterfulgt af en stor morgenmad den næste morgen.Alt i alt første klasse."

"Very nice little 3-star hotel. Same for the staff. About ten rooms. Each one different from the next. We also love the restaurant, which for us is the second reason, and not the least, to stay there on our way south, respectively on the way back. It wasn't the first time and it won't be the last... The only downside: an elevator that hasn't been operational for ages. Apparently, there's a legal dispute."
