The Victory Villa

"This is the spot if you want to get away from it all - it is so peaceful and the views are stunning. It really is a little touch of paradise. Wayne is a brilliant host - he advised on car hire, arranged a rainforest tour for us - everything we needed he was happy to advise or sort out. We stayed in a self catering apartment which was spacious, comfortable, clean and had beautiful views. We did end up having a couple of meals at the villa and they were fantasic - being vegan was no problem, we were extremely well catered for. We had a couple of days without car just to relax (and there is a short walk in the rainforest from the villa) - then had a car which was delivered to the villa for a few of days which was useful. It simply is exquisite here. We didn't want to leave!"

"Ved ankomst var vi ophidsede, og den unge mand på receptionen var uskyldig: velkommen, høflig, hjælpsom og venlig.Vi bookede hurtigt og elskede rummet, og så forlod vi en eftermiddag på et gydepunkt. Efter vores tilbagekomst havde han forladt dagen og i hans sted en ung dame, der var bedst forsvundet/uvenlig på den værste grænse med ubehag/afskedigelse.At bede om råd/bistand blev anerkendt som en pålæggelse/ubehag for hende. Jeg spurgte, om vi skulle få en taxa eller som min partner foreslog, gå til lufthavnen i morgen tidlig? Hun spurgte "hvor længe skal du være der", svarede jeg "7:00", hun sagde, vi ville gå fint, da det kun var 15 minutters gang.Den næste morgen ankom vi til receptionen klokken 6:40 for at finde dørene låst og ingen på receptionen. Efter ti minutters forsøg på at åbne døren, ringe til receptionen og ringe til hotelreceptionen fra.Min mobil fandt vi en anden bosat, der hjalp os med at finde en vej ud gennem swimmingpoolen. Vi havde mistet 15 minutter, så vi fik en bil til at tage os til lufthavnen.Hvis personalet havde været som fyren ved ankomsten og receptionen mandede hele natten, ville dette have været en 5* anmeldelser."

"I visited with my wife and 2 year old. The sheltered beach at the hotel was calm enough for my toddler not to be frightened by the sound of the waves, as he was in Storebay. We had a wonderful day at the nearby Being with Horses tour, 15 mins away at Bucccoo and there was even a pony for my toddler to ride. The transport organized by the hotel was on time and courteous. The room was clean with a sea and garden view. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods. The lunch and dinner menus were a bit limited but still delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel qualifies as a major art venue by itself and is beautifully designed. Overall a very good experience, worth the price, which is a bit on the pricey side to be honest."

Ocean Winds Suite Hotel

"Room was comfortable and clean, lots of dishes and cutlery available, fridge and stove as well. Not located near the water and the sight is partially blocked. No restaurant on site. You will need a car or a taxi to get to the supermarket or restaurants. Mark the manager is vey accommodating and helpful with answers and suggestions. Pool is available abut didn't use, TV is small and limited channels."
