"Jeg anbefaler dette vidunderlige hotel meget! Vi har nydt vores ferie der. Faciliteten er smagfuldt designet, hotelholdet er professionelt og meget venligt. Morgenmad og middag var fremragende. Poolen, de store værelser og den omfattende anlæg med den vedligeholdte have tilbyder den perfekte blanding til at føle sig godt rundt. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage!"

"I gave two stars as I was shocked by the rudeness of the owner on my arrival. I’d chosen this place for its the reported friendliness of the hosts as I was travelling alone. Having read all of the glowing reviews and after receiving emails saying ‘any problems or questions, do just get in touch’, I felt on arrival at 9pm, having been travelling since 6am, the host wouldn’t mind me ringing the bell there on the front door. There were still plenty of people out and about in the town. However, the host leaned over the balcony and shouted down at me that I should have received full instructions on how to get in via email. He was clearly angry and apologizing, I started looking for the email as he was saying ‘look at your emails’. He then shouted down ‘look at me while I’m talking to you’. It was not a pleasant welcome to say the least. When I’d got inside, I met my room mate who (unprompted by me), said the host had been a nightmare to her. In the morning, he laid down the law about how to wash up etc and then placed a massive ring binder on the table and told me to read it! In general, he made an effort to be polite after this which I did appreciate. This host is clearly very keen on cleanliness, order and rules. Come here for somewhere spotless but not for cosy, relaxed or welcoming."

"Små, men perfekt dannet boutique hotel.Smuk bygning, beliggenhed, værelser og sådan en fantastisk opmærksom service.Med 20-værelser er det meget roligt og roligt, selv i poolen.God morgenmad. "We stayed in room 6 the Attic which is very large and spacious, more an apartment than a hotel room. It was well furnished, comfortable and enjoyable to stay in for a few days. The building is a restored and preserved original Canarian wood mansion and its great that these buildings are being preserved and used. Where else will you find 14 inch wide floorboards. The wooden ceilings in other rooms are amazing. Having said all that there are downsides. The hotel being only 6 rooms is not staffed by management daily, there are cleaners and laundry personnel on site but management seems to be remote. Breakfast is supplied by a separate business running a patisserie in the alcove during the day, It's ok, varied but nothing special. Our room was spacious and comfortable but being Sea View was exposed to the road noise which you have to accept, it's not too bad but don't expect silence, there's a music school next door too. The room really needs a very good clean, every chrome surface from the kettle to the shower needs descaling and polishing. After 2 days we noticed an infestation of ( we were told ) wood eating moths. We could see the eggs in piles on the floor in several areas. The management were not very forthcoming about the exact species causing the the problem despite being aware. We hope we didn't bring home any eggs in our luggage. Our concerns about this were dismissed and the owner was not transparent about the issue. Garachico is a lovely place to visit for a few days."

"The hotel was charming and comfortable, however, there were queues for breakfast as the number of tables available does not match the number of rooms. Kettle provided with cups etc but when we asked for tea & coffee we were told to buy our own at the supermarket. Why provide the means to make hot drinks but not the ingredients ? The daily bedside chocolate treat somehow was poor compensation. Otherwise an enjoyable stay."

"Hvilket fund, Amazing.Fra begyndelsen til slutningen var alt perfekt, ankomsten var så velkommen, afgangen igen blev gjort til at føle sig værdsat og takke os for vores ophold!Så meget at sige om alt ville tage sider, men det udestående ord dækker det hele. Vi gik halvt bord, og det var fint at spise hver aften, så unikke og smagfulde måltider.Restaurantens personale var fantastiske både aften og morgen.Vin var så godt og lokalt.Receptionspersonalet kunne ikke gøre nok til at hjælpe dig og så velkommen. Personalet, der kiggede efter vores værelse dagligt gik ovenpå og ud.Jeg kunne gå videre, men lad os bare sige et af de bedste hoteller, vi nogensinde har boet i, ren glæde.Tak til alle i San Roque"

"This hotel has a huge place in my heart. It’s a simple but beautiful Canarian building, with lovely wooden features and beautiful tiled floors. It’s very simple - we stayed in room 10 with a sea view. Very basic but extremely clean and tidy. The best thing was the shared terrace overlooking the lagoons and the sea. I don’t remember staying anywhere better for watching the ocean. Miguel and his team were very kind. Not luxury but simple beauty. Thank you. With luck on my health we may be back."
