"We’ve stayed here twice now and it is just excellent. My wife and I are golfers and the nearby Buenavista course, designed by Seve, is fabulous on a stunning location 10 minutes from the hotel in Los Silos. There were quite a few hikers staying also. Warm and amusing reception from Alonso. This time we stayed half board for four nights which included a three course meal each evening. The food is good and the service is top notch. The staff are the happiest bunch I’ve seen in a long time - which says a lot for the management of the hotel. Our room was comfortable as was the bed. Great swimming pool which my wife did her laps in each morning. I hope we get back. Ray Stewart"

"Karin and Sergio are amazing and have created a very special place to enjoy hiking in Teno. Karin and Sergio have great recommendations, offer a heart breakfast, and offer packed picnic lunches for all-day hikers—the lunch Karin packed me was a lifesaver, since I arrived after shops closed and was leaving before they were open. I only stayed one night, but the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The terrace is also a real jewel. I really hope to be back soon!"

Hotel Hacienda del Conde Melia Collection Golf & Spa – Adults Only

"We stayed at Meliá Hacienda del Conde expecting high-quality service in line with its category, but unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. From the very beginning, the staff was cold and inattentive. Check-in was slow and confusing, and throughout our stay we noticed a lack of friendliness and professionalism from the team. The food was, without a doubt, the worst part. The buffet was repetitive, with low-quality options and poorly prepared dishes. On one occasion, we were served clearly spoiled fish that had no flavor. The presentation was disappointing, and overall, everything seemed done without care. For the price and the hotel’s name, we expected much more. It’s a shame that a place with so much potential has such poor service and a neglected dining offer. I wouldn’t recommend it, and I definitely won’t be returning."

"We stayed in room 6 the Attic which is very large and spacious, more an apartment than a hotel room. It was well furnished, comfortable and enjoyable to stay in for a few days. The building is a restored and preserved original Canarian wood mansion and its great that these buildings are being preserved and used. Where else will you find 14 inch wide floorboards. The wooden ceilings in other rooms are amazing. Having said all that there are downsides. The hotel being only 6 rooms is not staffed by management daily, there are cleaners and laundry personnel on site but management seems to be remote. Breakfast is supplied by a separate business running a patisserie in the alcove during the day, It's ok, varied but nothing special. Our room was spacious and comfortable but being Sea View was exposed to the road noise which you have to accept, it's not too bad but don't expect silence, there's a music school next door too. The room really needs a very good clean, every chrome surface from the kettle to the shower needs descaling and polishing. After 2 days we noticed an infestation of ( we were told ) wood eating moths. We could see the eggs in piles on the floor in several areas. The management were not very forthcoming about the exact species causing the the problem despite being aware. We hope we didn't bring home any eggs in our luggage. Our concerns about this were dismissed and the owner was not transparent about the issue. Garachico is a lovely place to visit for a few days."

"A remarkable hotel! Seems like a luxury resort. Main hotel complex is beautiful and relaxing. Lots of areas to sit outside and enjoy the quiet. Some rooms are about 500 meters from main area, which means they are very quiet. Hotel is situated in a banana orchard. Staff are very friendly and helpful, even enthusiastic. A car is almost a necessity. Many nice restaurants in Garachico. Of course , I would stay here again (stayed one week). Just a beautiful place."
