"Excellent standard of room with individual heating and air-conditioning. Breakfast was wonderful, very good quality ingredients and very relaxed buffet. Location very handy for Harvester next door and a nice 24 hour bar in reception area. Free parking too!"

"Clean & basic for an overnight stay. Would be nice to have Cooked Breakfast on site. Although pub next door was very good for evening meal. Could do with better signage as trees were blocking view and we could not find it. Parked in Sainsbury car park and walked around until we found it. Was advised that we could pay to park in Sainsbury if needed but Sainsbury's staff were not aware of this. But found a space on site so not needed."

"This is a very British-style hotel, located just across the road from Taunton train station, but it's not noisy. Although it has a long history, it has been painted and protected extremely well. The breakfast is English-style, the portions are generous, and I personally like the taste. However, it is an old house after all, there is no elevator, and it is very inconvenient to have a lot of luggage. Moreover, faucets and showers are difficult to adjust, and the water temperature may be hot! However, the heating is really good, but it is also hot. The lady serving here is very beautiful and patient."

"I'm a fussy bugger and I was very happy with the evening I had there. Food is slightly more expensive than it should be, People pay £34 for a steak, seriously? Still I had the pork belly and very nice it was indeed although again £24 is a bit OTT. I cannot deny it was very enjoyable well cooked with a decent sauce. Observations given the price. The mashed potato was beautifully done, The sauce was very tasteful although very thin and as such could have done with more of it, The gravy boat had no handle and was almost impossible to touch because of the heat, yeah it looked neat but function defines form yes? The vegetables were tiny but again pleasantly cooked if a mite bland, I needed something else to give a bit of texture. Might I strongly strongly suggest you consider all the possibilities a decent sized piece of black pudding has to offer to accompany. The presentation was just piled up, that needs work. But yes the star of the show was the pork and that was gorgeous and as a large man sufficient in quantity which is rare for me. It was good enough that I wanted to take the time to recommend it here. Still again for the price, more gravy a few more veg and a decent crispy slice of black pudding nom nom. My friend had the venison chorizo burger, But spent his meal looking at mine."

"This was an amazing hotel and after the hellish experience I’d had in travelling to Taunton and other things along the way this hotel was bliss. Nicky on the desk was a lovely person and made you feel like you were lifelong friends. My room was 29 and it had everything I needed. It was clean and bright and the bed was so cosy. There was even a fridge in it! There are kitchen areas on every floor with cookers, fridges and microwaves. I loved my stay and if I ever return to Taunton I’ll definitely go back there ❤️"

"Lovely welcome with the great Christmas Decorations and gifts available for kids, a wonderful welcome. Our room was spacious, clean and warm just what we wanted on that chilli night. Thank you to the receptionist who made us very welcome when we arrived. The breakfast was fantastic, amazingly hot and nice to see the buffet loaded up even though only a few people eating, some premier inn we stay at take our orders but it's not the same has being able to help yourself. Great Team effort we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The main building could do with a paint job from the outside, and watch out - they have a temporary speed bump on the entrance that caught us out and it's like Mount Everest. Thank you again we had a great stay"

Hotellet er meget stor Victorian med mange originale funktioner, som vi kunne lide.Vi vil snart være tilbage der igen."

"This is one of the best BnB's we've ever stayed at. We were in the Chestnut room which was superb. Spacious, quiet, great amenities. Chris and Karen were wonderful hosts, always helpful and very responsive. A delicious freshly prepared breakfast each morning made a perfect start to the day. The large property is very well manicured and has a sitting area to enjoy a chat and drink. "

"Midway on a journey Surrey to Devon/Cornwall decided to stop for an overnighter. Delighted to stop at this village favourite which acts as a little shop for the locals. On first impression, old building, shabby chic, rather dark, old stairs then major surprise the other side of the bedroom door, light, fresh, modern, stylish warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice evening in this village as Thursday night is nothing else but Pizza Night at the pub so decided to walk a few steps to the Farthings Hotel, small boutique hotel and had a wonderful meal in their very nice restaurant which is opposite a lovely park perfect for a doggy walk. Both pub accommodation and hotel were dog friendly. Very nice stay overall."

"Lovely stay at Beaufort Lodge! I stayed at Beaufort Lodge in Taunton recently while attending a wedding nearby, and it was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The house is beautiful, full of charm and character and in a great location that’s peaceful but still close to the town centre. My room was spotless, super cosy, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay, and It was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a weekend away. I’d happily stay here again! Lauren"

"I love an English occupier run B&B and Greenham Hall did not disappoint. The welcome was so warm, the property is stunning, beds comfy, rooms spacious, curtains when closed block out the light. Breakfast was delicious, especially the home made damson jam. We enjoyed the fresh coffee and orange juice. The hostess Caro gives a very warm welcome and was very hospitable, flexible and also an interesting and accomplished woman. It is also very reasonably priced. We would love to return when we are next in the area."

"We couldn't fault the accommodation, staff or food during our two night stay. Our visit to Taunton was for a family funeral so not a time we expected to find any enjoyment. But we did. Our room was spotlessly clean and bed comfortable and welcoming after a tiring journey. The two full English breakfasts were beautifully cooked plus cereals, fruit and juices on a help yourself basis. Toast kept coming till we could eat no more. The funeral tea was held here too and once again a marvellous spread was enjoyed. Being beautiful weather the mourners made use of the pretty gardens too. Our thanks to owners and staff for everything 100% satisfied."
