"I'm often underwhelmed by ploughman's lunches but not at The Badger Inn. Really decent portions of cheese and ham, bread, coleslaw and apple etc. We ate outside at lunchtime and didn't eat again for the rest of the day!. My son had the crab sandwich and was also impressed. Really interesting to read that Virgina Woolf visited the area and stayed at the inn over a hundred years ago."

"We booked through Agoda and specifically advised the park beforehand that we had three elderly guests (aged 75–90) and needed rooms close together for safe and convenient access. This basic request was not met. The allocated lodges required climbing hills, which was extremely difficult and potentially dangerous for the elderly. Bathroom safety features were also inadequate. When we raised the issue at reception, the staff member was unhelpful and immediately rejected any solution. Subsequent correspondence with management showed the company is more interested in protecting staff and denying responsibility than addressing genuine guest concerns. Even after a child in our group was injured on the pool’s elephant slide, they maintained there was no problem with the equipment. The surroundings are nice and the park is well-maintained, but the lack of consideration for elderly guests and the defensive attitude from both reception and head office made the stay disappointing. Guests booking via external platforms appear to receive less priority."

"We stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights and had a fantastic time! Fenella and mark are amazing hosts! The whole place including our room was spotlessly clean and so beautiful and cosy! We enjoyed the free standing bath every afternoon! Everything you need is in your room and lots of lovely little touches such as afternoon cake, lovely selection of tea and coffee! The breakfast was to die for and fenella was so hopeful with recommendations on where to visit etc! The honesty bar was also a brilliant idea! Really couldn’t fault the place! We loved every moment! Thanks for making our mini moon experience so lovely ! We will be back! Laura and Scott x"
