"For context, my family and I and I have regularly holiday across Tunisia and regularly use three star hotels, so this review is written from a point of view that we were not expecting the world. However, what we did not expect was a poorly run hotel, with no care or love from any member of staff. This may however be due to the fact that the hotel has clearly been left with little investment, the staff appear to have been there for a number of years and are on their knees due to complaints. The rooms had no working air-conditioning and did not include a fridge or hairdryer. Although set up for three people, we had to argue to get towels. The cleaning staff did a bare minimum job finally changing the bedding on day nine but only once we had stripped the beds and put the sheets outside the door to give them little option. The food was bland at best, often De-ann mostly inedible. Every other night a random spice seems to be added to every dish making them inedible. There is no air-conditioning anywhere in the hotel that works. The lift did not work for the majority of our stay. Not ideal if you’re on the fifth floor and the temperatures are 40° and above. Unlike a review I read previously, the hotel do not provide pool towels so please ensure you take them! If you do decide to still travel, please ensure you post your reviews to warn others"

"Beliggenhed var på stedet, lige ved stranden.Værelserne var meget rene og vi havde udsigt over at se havet.Restaurant kunne være travlt til tider, men Ben og Mohamed amine fandt os altid et bord, der altid havde en flaske vin og min sprit. Hvilket fantastisk par, meget chat og høfligt.Så fik vi en pool medarbejder vidende, hvad jeg kan sige.Så snart han ser os om morgenen, ville han bringe os drikke og have en chat. Så havde vi sengemanden, hvor jeg ikke kan huske hans navn han gav os vores senge og mattress hver morgen ved snackbaren, kun spørgsmålet var, signatur, få mere signatur for at vise, hvor tingene er.Bortset fra at vi havde en fabelagtig uge "

Baden er så charmerende, stille og fredelige som den personlige, varme og venlige 🧡 🙏 morgenmad er anstændig og har nok sort, værelser er okay og sikker.Jeg fandt mine dokumenter og ting i orden i alle mine syv nætter af ophold. "Arrived late evening just as restaurant about to close so reception advised to call in before checking in. Check in quick and easy. Room number 274. Not the best view as a tree right in front of the window but nonetheless room in central location to both hotel and sister hotel. Room cleaned to a good standard, also bedding of good condition and plenty of extra pillows. The bathroom adequate with shower over bath, prefer a walking shower but ok. Room of a reasonable size along with balcony. We had a 3rd bed in room. The furniture was a little outdated with drawers not closing properly but not really an issue. Had the use of both restaurants generally used sister hotel as better laid out and easier to use when aiding a sight impaired person. Food of good quality and good choice. Used bar on evening and were very well looked after by Mohammed, Zera and Fira all new waiters. The downside to the hotel which let us down were the animation team. Very disappointing compared to 3 years ago. They only approached us twice in 10 days, didn’t let us know what was happening where what entertainment on where and when Hot drinks in paper cups not acceptable in a 4* hotel. The à la carte was a let down this year unfortunately. Special thanks to Alexander around the small pool kept it tidy and clean and spoke every day. Special thanks to Saber who kept us supplied with black tea, one sugar with lemon in a proper cup. Special thanks to Sabhir morning breakfast. Special thanks to Ali and staff in sister restaurant."

El Ksar Resort & Spa – Family Hotel

"First of all I’ll highlight this is not my first holiday to this continent nor this country. However, this will be my last trip to Tunisia. This hotel certainly isn’t the 4* it is advertised as, more of a 2*+ On arrival we paid the tourist tax which we were aware of prior to landing, no problem. We then filled out the visitor visa type sheets for each guest. (Time consuming when there is 6 of you) we were told at 11:30am that if we went and had a drink in the bar and headed for lunch, our room would be ready for when we got back. 1pm comes with a very unhappy baby who was hot & tired from travelling, still no room. We sat in reception with a screaming baby waiting for our rooms for another 30 mins. There appears to be no rush for check in. Wheelchair and pushchair users beware, this isn’t a completely accessible hotel, access to the pool from any direction is only via steps which is a nightmare. First full day, we have breakfast and then head to reception to ask about pool towels. Reception tells us they are located at the spa and are charged at 20DT per towel. We go to spa and are told they are 30DT and have gone up in price since last week. Firstly this is the only hotel I’ve known that charge for towels (however it is refunded on last day) most other hotels have a chip or towel card which you are given at check in. This is a gateway for towel theft more than anything else. The all inclusive here is a rip off really. The local beer is fine but the bar is just bottled local spirits and these are served in plastic beakers or card board cups. Never have I been served cocktails like this before. Some of the drinks aren’t included in the all inclusive either. The food is mediocre and can get repetitive quickly. The desserts are good however. I can imagine that in the busy summer months the buffet restaurant is a nightmare as there just doesn’t appear to be anywhere near enough food stations for the amount of guests. This results in lengthy queues which resemble school dinner lines. There is one bar serving drinks for the whole hotel (outside of the dinner restaurant) so if you’re at the beach be prepared to walk back to the hotel for a drink) there is no food available outside of set meal times either. So much for all inclusive. Definitely the worst I have ever been to. Ali baba (excursion rep) oh lord, how I didn’t lose my temper with him just on day one I will never know. He is relentless, an actual pest and he will harass you. He also charges well above average, please look elsewhere for a better deal. Animation team, well this was great the day of arrival and day one. Very friendly and have a lot of good interaction with the kids. However, the head of animation got a little to over friendly with my 18 year old daughter to the point she felt very uncomfortable which has left her feeling anxious at his presence. Also not a lot going on around the pool just an hour in the morning and the afternoon. The pool isn’t big enough to accommoda"
