"The guy working there was amazing (we were the girls with no map and not a lue). He printed us off a map explained where to go for the three peaks challenge and the bestway to do it. I had my dog which they were really friendly and accommodating for. The place was a nice area parking was easy and kitchen area was large and clean"

"Stay was an absolute disaster from start to finish. Stayed with my son who is autistic and doesn’t cope well with unforeseen changes to routine and any problems that occur. That’s exactly what happened from arrival. I checked in to find my son’s sofa bed was not made up and had to go back to reception to request this but had to go for a walk in the meantime. We had a meal deal for dinner and breakfast. When returning to the hotel a couple of other customers had been complaining about the lack of options on the menu and that they should have been made aware of it. When I checked with the restaurant staff they said this was now back to normal as there had just been too many people. Surely you either have the items or you don’t? It then became apparent that there were only 3 members of staff, 1 in the kitchen, 1 waiting and 1 receptionist for the hotel also helping out in the restaurant due to it being a bank holiday they must have being paying enhanced rates. After waiting 15 minutes to order, we then waited over an hour without any food. I then asked what the issue was. The waiter returned a few minutes later and told me it would be a few minutes. 10 minutes later I was served a burger that was raw on the inside. Obviously our order hadn’t been prepared and I returned this, finally getting a replacement about another 10 minutes later by which time my son had finished his meal. Another 15 minutes later deserts finally arrived but by this point I had been ready to just walk out. Other customers had been complaining and had similar wait times. Breakfast the following morning was an improvement but I noticed at least 6 staff on shift which is likely why given they were back to standard rates of pay. After my stay I followed up with a complaint to guest relations and although they acknowledged everything I’d said basically tried to fob me off and said they couldn’t offer a refund. After pushing back I was offered a refund on the meals as a gesture of goodwill which is the least they could do given the experience. The fact I had to push them into that doesn’t bode well for their customer service if anything else was to go wrong and as such I cancelled a future booking with Premier Inn and won’t be using them again. My recommendation would be if you do have to stay here do not eat in the restaurant and do not commit to the meal deal in advance."

"Vi havde booket et bord for 7.30pm, men ankom meget tidligere, end vi havde troet.Velkommen var varm og ægte, og det venlige medarbejder sagde, at det var fint og viste os til vores bord lige. Vores ordre blev taget inden for en meget kort tid - 2x Steak og Ale Pies - og leveret til vores bord inden for 15 minutter - varm, smukt kogt og med masser af grøntsager. Personalet var opmærksomt hele vores besøg, og der var en dejlig vibe om stedet.Vi har kørt forbi Maypole mange en tid, men det er første gang, vi har stoppet for et måltid.Det bliver ikke den sidste!"

"Very, very nice country hotel. The accommodation is comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. Insufficient: 1. The electric kettle is made of plastic rather than stainless steel. 2. We ate three breakfasts, maybe the chef made different breakfast standards are also different: the first day, enough; The second and three days, the amount was halved, my husband ordered a "full set of English breakfast" and I ordered "smoked salmon eggs", "smoked salmon eggs", bread, eggs, salmon from two to one."

"Vi blev hilset med en meget varm velkomst fra Debbie, værelset var meget rent, sengen var frisk og ren vi havde 2 meget komfortabel nats søvn og var en kort gåtur ind i byen."

"The room was on the third floor, which might be a bit inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage. It wasn't huge but was clean and tidy. The Wi-Fi signal wasn't great; videos would buffer a few times, but sending and receiving emails was fine. It's very close to the town's scenic spots. Of course, the town is quite small, so it seems unnecessary to stay more than one night."

"My fiancé and I visited The Black Horse during our first evening in Grassington & dined in the Morral Restaurant. What a great start to the holiday! The food was delicious (& reasonably priced) and staff were very friendly & helpful. We will definitely visit again. *****"
