"Hotellet ligger på den vej, der fører dig til det historiske centrum af Siena, og er et komfortabelt base til at tilbringe nogle dage i den vidunderlige toscane by. Der er en privat parkering, rent og meget stille værelser, blot et par skridt (Måske 10) fra busstoppestedet, der fører dig til centrum. Fruemad er normalt, men overflod. Går byen er omkring 20 minutter væk, men det er en sti med snæver stiger, bedre at gøre det ved tilbagekomst ... især hvis der er 40 grader udenfor som i de dage, vi var der! Vi fandt den forsyningsbassin på hotellet! Det var regenererende at tilbringe timer der efter en dag at gå rundt i byen, som er smuk, men som med høje temperaturer stadig er lidt ubehageligt. Små swimmingpool men det er okay"

"Fantastic stay in Hotel Athena in Siena! They are one of the few hotels that offer free parking within the city walls and outside of the ZTL zone. About 10 mins walk into main town. Definitely took away the headache of the need to look for parking. Also a great base to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Their included buffet breakfast offers a comprehensive spread, tho we wishes that they would change the spread daily! But that's a small issue. They also have a terrace on the 7th floor that looks out to the Tuscan countryside. Wonderful views - check out the attached photo! Overall we definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay here again if we visit again!"

"A very good hotel with a great location, right at the entrance to Siena's old town, just minutes from the bus terminal for the Firenze-Siena route. If you want to go to the train station, the bus stop is a short walk away. The receptionist was very friendly, and the breakfast selection was plentiful, including handmade coffee. The room's walls, a beautiful combination of brick and white, were lovely. We booked a room with a balcony offering views of the Duomo and the city's charming architecture. A restaurant not far from the hotel was a filming location for the Korean drama "How to Translate Love," and the hotel's door even appeared in the show. If you're visiting the city because of "How to Translate Love," don't miss this hotel. The only downside is the slightly poor soundproofing, which seems to be a common problem with older buildings. During my stay, I heard loud noises in the hallway around 1 AM, but normal conversation volume wasn't bothersome. If you're bothered by this, you might want to bring earplugs. I really like the city of Siena, and I am very grateful to the hotel staff. I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again next time I travel to Siena."

"Coming out of the house and you will already be at the eating place. Few second more you will be at one of the many shopping street. 2 min either directions you will either be at the square or at the cathedral. The house is having a lot of history. No lift but ok even for me after a leg surgery. The building is old so the sewer pipe the building maybe need some cleaning as there can be smell sometimes. Good thing is my toilet/bathroom is separate from my room, so doesn’t affect my room. Ada is wonderful and always helpful."

"We stayed at Antica Residenza Cicogna for 6 nights and could not have been happier. Elisa and her co-worker of many years are as kind, helpful and welcoming as you could hope for. The room was super beautiful as was the entire place, so thoughtfully put together to ensure the comfort of every guest. Sitting areas dotted throughout, biscotti and tea available 24/7. The breakfast offered everything you could want and was delicious. The place is central to everything but away from the heaviest traffic. All in all, an exceptional experience and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Siena! Grazie grazie Grazie!"

"Probably the best location, with parking and access by car, and the closest proximity to the historic part of the city. Simona kindly met us in the parking lot and showed us to our room. It's a two-story building, with a small lobby, common areas, and rooms on the second floor. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. By 11 p.m., the square had quieted down completely, so we slept well. In the morning, breakfast was delivered right to our room. It was basic but filling (we ordered it the night before). We were happy with everything, and we recommend it."

During my stay, there happened to be a university graduation ceremony, filling the entire town of Siena with a joyful atmosphere that lasted until late at night. The town is quite large and worth spending a whole day exploring its architecture."

"My colleague and I spent 11 days in Siena, partly a professional conference and partly fun. This hidden gem B&B was only a few minutes’ walk from either historical sites in the center or the university. The two-room setup (plus private bath) provided each of us with a large comfortable bed that would easily have accommodated a couple. If we had been a larger group, there is also a full-sized pull-out bed in the living room couch. Our hosts were warm, charming, and generous. On request, they immediately provided an additional table for our books, papers, and lap-tops; also an iron for our professional clothes; and access to the breakfast-room refrigerator for my special dietary needs. We loved that the building was five centuries old (marble floors, tall windows, brick walls, high ceilings, frescoes), but with modern conveniences. The view across fields and gardens to a distant palazzo was breathtaking. Glorious sunup and sunset. Ample breakfast was also available for a small additional charge."
