"I have mixed feelings regarding this round of stay, my first visit years back was great. I can't say the same for this time. We took a 7 hours overnight bus ride from Sapporo, and arrived at the hotel at 6.35am. There was no one at the reception nor lobby, which is fine. We saw there was coffee and rolls served at the open area and were thinking of getting a cup of coffee after a long overnight bus ride. Then there was this old age man, hotel staff, who jumped out from no way chasing us away saying this is only for hotel guests. This is not a Japan warm Hospitality which we used to. I think we are not your guests until we receive the room key at 3pm. We don't feel welcome. However the rest of the 4 days stay were great but our mood has been affected as we are just a transaction to the staff."

"Udsigten fra rummet var virkelig smuk.Salen var behagelig og vi kunne lide at se Olympiske Lege om aftenen. Breakfast er virkelig tidligt, hvilket er bekvemt at gå ud på turer osv., men ikke så godt for de dage, du vil sove i.. "Absolutely loved everything about this place! I stayed overnight with my friend and her family. Yuta (owner's son) and his mother went above and beyond to give us spectacular experience! Food was top quality, facility was extremely clean, Onsen water was so silky, delicious Gelato and good opportunity to try varieties of Japanese alcohol. This place made our visit to Hokkaido extra special. Thank you for taking good care of us and spending quality time with Matthew! He adores you!! ps. Ask Yuta to make Esther's secret menu: pistachio affragato 😀"

Guests get nice add ons for free like one scoop of ice cream from the cafe per day. The buffet had many individually plated live stations although quality hits and misses. The grilled and cooked items were better than the sashimi. Overall a good experience."

"Our room was new and nice. Has a bit vintage vibe in the interior design. Breakfast has everything you need and is tasty. The customer service and onsen are great. Everything went very smoothly. I wish they had a currency exchange automat (like Smart exchange) as no cash currency exchange options in any city nearby (banks do not do it at all). Hotel is of a good level to provide this service. Why this is needed - we thought payment will be processed online through Trip.com but they requested to pay in cash AFTER checkout. Normally this is at least mentioned when checking in. Also they changed the onsen fee recently and when we booked it was of lower price. We literally had to give out all cash we had. Overall we liked our stay, but the payment issue left some bad impression about the hotel."
