"Highly recommended! We booked a Western-style room in the West Wing, and it was incredibly spacious with fantastic views. The only minor drawback was the bit of a walk to the onsen, restaurant, and smoking room. The dinner is an absolute must-try – super abundant and authentically Japanese, with high-quality ingredients. The scallops and wagyu beef are unlimited, and there's an all-you-can-drink alcohol option, plus daily rotating dishes. We even got to try venison and bear meat! We stayed for two days, and there weren't many tour groups yet, but lots of Japanese seniors. It made me wonder if it reminded them of the prosperity during Japan's economic boom. The onsen area is also huge, and the wash and shower areas were the largest I've seen in Japan. They clearly label whether the baths are regular tap water or hot spring water, and I saw staff meticulously checking the temperature and water quality of each one."

"Bygningen er gammel, men den er god, vandet og værelserne er meget rene.Der er et køkken, så jeg kan købe mad til madlavning og bo meget længe og bekvemt. Vaskemaskine og vaskepulver er i separate bygninger, men du kan bruge dem gratis. Kun AU's radiobølger var svage i tre store bølger, men jeg blev reddet, fordi jeg kunne låne en radiobølgeforstærker. "The room was clean, and the hotel offers free parking, which was very convenient. Self check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. As a nice bonus, each guest receives one free cup of instant noodles. The view from the hotel was beautiful and made the stay even more enjoyable. One thing to note is that the room only has a toilet—there is no private bathroom. Showers are located in the public bath area instead. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would consider staying here again."

"The entire facility blended seamlessly with nature, and everything from the handcrafted villas and well-maintained lawns to the gentle murmur of the river was superb. The children were constantly smiling, enjoying activities they couldn't experience in the city, such as playing frisbee and stargazing where they even saw shooting stars. The barbecue for dinner was excellent, and at breakfast, we had the wonderful experience of watching squirrels eating walnuts right next to us. We are so grateful to the owners and staff for their hospitality. We would love to return again for another relaxing getaway."

"The best part of this hotel is their onsen! Good size with a nice bathing pool outside along with the usual inside. Hotel is located on a hill so easiest to get to with a car and they have a big parking lot. Great place to stay when visiting Utoro. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was ridiculously small. Breakfast felt cafeteria style but lots of Japanese options."

"The rooms were clean and nice. Though some rooms doesn’t have showering facilities but it is not an issue as the onsen wasn’t too crowded and it was well maintained. You will be able to see sunset in the comfort of the lobby or room (depending on direction). Do note that if you arrive after 8pm, you have to check-in at another hotel. From the image it looks near but due to a room closure it is about a 1km detour. There is also a flight of stairs which you have to carry your luggage up"
