"This was my first time visiting Shangluo, and after searching on the map, I happily booked a stay at the only InterContinental hotel available. It opened last year, and you can tell the facilities are quite new. It's separated from the Shangluo Municipal Government by a river and isn't far from the old town. Downstairs is Danjiang Park, which is lovely for an evening stroll in the summer. It's also only about a 15-minute walk to Shang Yang Square and the Qinling Museum. The front desk kindly upgraded me to a higher floor, offering views of the Danjiang River from the window. The breakfast was quite rich. Although there's a road outside the window, it was very quiet at night once the window was closed. Overall, a great stay."

"This hotel is in a pretty central location in Shangluo, right next to Wanda Plaza and the municipal government building. It's also not far from the stadium, Qinling Museum, Shangzhou Night Market, and Danjiang River, so the location is great. You can easily get here from Shangluo West Station by taking bus 19 or a taxi directly. The nearby Tongjiang Road even has a glass skywalk and lights in the middle, which is quite beautiful. The hotel facilities are very new, having just opened in 2024. There are no signs of wear and tear, so it's well-maintained. The decor uses a rich color palette, making it feel more modern and youthful. On the first floor, there's an ice machine, lemon water, coffee machine, and hot water, offering a great selection. The sofas are also very soft. The front desk service was excellent; they even extended my check-out time to 4 PM. The guest rooms feature a three-fixture bathroom with separate wet and dry areas, and a large makeup mirror. However, there's no floor-to-ceiling window or full-length mirror, and the view outside is practically nonexistent (it faces a wall), giving it a windowless feel. There are also no electric curtains or rainfall showerheads, so the amenities are a bit less impressive. The washing machines in the laundry room are quite high-end and efficient; you can wash and dry your clothes within two hours. The gym only has cardio equipment, with no strength training facilities. Overall, it's still a very good hotel with excellent value for money. I might choose this place again on my next visit to Shangluo. Thumbs up!"
