"Since Tamala join TUI service it has gone down, the premises was amazing 4-5yrs ago would definitely say top hotel 5* in Gambia now it's 3* Cons - Property is not maintained throughout the year meaning management refused 😕 to spend money on building interiors/external e.g painting, carpentery , hot water very spoactic, mosquitoes in rooms are unmanageable, TV channels limited, new TUI menu boring old menu much better with choices & taste. Definitely overpriced accommodation due to the current state. Pro - All staff have always been amazing adapting to changes & maintaining good customer service with management limitations! There go beyond to resolve any issues within their capacity to make your stay pleasurable. The hotel has so much potential but limited resources for staff to work with."

"We stayed at this resort as a group of nine, and very Apartments and the Nian Villa. The resort itself is a treasure. Its location is fantastic as it is very close the strip and restaurants and bars. . The apartment suited couples and single travellers . The staff are friendly and welcoming although we felt the site manager was a little dismissive to some of our enquiries . We booked direct which saved us a little bit of money included free air-conditioning . The grounds are lovely in some areas, although some work is required around the Nian Villa . The Philip was a beautiful Hideaway, which suited a couple and two single travellers. It also accommodated the rest of our party when they came over for drinks et cetera . We all agree that we would definitely return"

"A hotel is a hotel. It's simply Africa. However, it has terrible neighborhoods. I recommend bringing earplugs. Sleep is impossible. The music from the hotel next door makes any sense impossible. Even earplugs don't help. I'm sorry to write this because the hotel itself is of a good, good African standard."

"Dette er et virkelig smukt afslapningssted.Personalet var mest forfærdeligt den fantastiske og permanent smilende og engagerede Lamin.Vores anden sal havde en stor udsigt til haven og haven. "My stay at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. From the very first moments, you can feel the unique atmosphere. The place has an amazing vibe and creates a warm, almost family-like environment. You instantly feel comfortable and well taken care of. Huge credit to the entire team, especially the bartenders and reception staff. Sam, Buba and Assan are simply the best. They are always smiling, helpful and genuinely great with guests. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do. A special mention also goes to the manager, who is incredibly kind, attentive and dedicated. She really cares about the guests’ comfort and makes sure everyone feels welcome and appreciated. It truly makes a difference. The food is absolutely amazing as well, with plenty of great options to choose from. There is definitely something for everyone, including very good choices for vegetarians. Definitely a place worth coming back to. Highly recommended."

"- Meget pænt hotel. Dens beliggenhed er meget central, bag "striben".Ladninger af hollandske mennesker her!Baden er dejlig, de har endda en svømmebar.Jeg havde nogle fisk i den lokale restaurant ved siden af poolen, hvilket var fantastisk.AC arbejdede godt, Der var varmt vand (ikke varmt).Værelset blev renset dagligt, sengen var meget behagelig.Det anbefales helt sikkert!"

"Never again! Good location is you want to be in the thick and thin of Senegambia. Close to lots of places to eat..... however be careful you also risk contracting Shingella. We were so unwell the day after we returned home to UK which was sheer luck as we both ended up in hospital. The rooms were cleaned daily and cleaners were pleasant. The hotel manager Mr Hadi was very helpful and ready to help. We spent 4 nights in this hotel. There were huge bugs crawling around on balcony so you can't sit there for very long. The hotel rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment and modernization, old fashioned furniture in the rooms. The gym was laughable shut it down or turn it into a lounge area. I imagine back in the day this hotel would have been sought after due to location and size of rooms however. Our room was at the front so we were entertained by thousands, literally thousands of people just gathering on New year's Eve it was like a massive carnival. Would we return to that hotel.........NO! "

"We stayed outside the 'tourist season', so the hotel wasn't quite up to date yet. But apart from that, it was fantastic! The staff is friendly and helpful, the chef prepares the most delicious [local] dishes for you, and the owner talks your ear off and is genuinely interested in you. The hotel is situated in a wonderfully quiet location, right on the beach, and has a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. The rooms are spacious. There is no air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans. Electricity is generated using solar panels and was more than sufficient. If you appreciate peace and quiet, this hotel is highly recommended!"

"Seaview gardens hotel Stayed at this hotel with my fiancé and like most of the reviews there are positives and negatives and I concur with a lot that has already been said. This hotel is in a great location a short walk to the beach short walk to Senegambia the strip where everything happens, lots of local restaurants in the vicinity, nice and affordable the bank is just around the corner and there are lots of travel options as there are available taxes on offer all day. The hotel is very pretty garden wise, the grounds are nice with beautiful trees, plants and bushes. There is small pool at the back however can be unappealing before the pool boy comes to clean it. The pool furniture is minging. The staff are very friendly and welcoming apart from the reception staff who don’t seem to be that bothered if you have an issue with something. The room was spacious and we were impressed with the big four-poster bed with the mosquito net covering it we are very grateful to see that as we were worried about getting bitten. The sofa in the living room was filthy and in need of a scrub and there was a TV on the wall that didn’t work my fiancé reported it three times and three times reception said they were sending somebody up to fix it but they never did which makes me think they know that it doesn’t work and it will never work. The AC worked I was so glad about that but we could not put on the bedroom fan because it was clattering. The bathroom was very basic the shower did work and we did get hot water but not powerful. The Plumbing in the bathroom needs sorting out as the sink was blocked one time I don’t know what was going on but someone’s lighter came up through the sinkhole. Someone came to unblock the drain but just fixed it so the water leaked onto the floor instead. (nice trick). Breakfast is very limited and the same thing everyday. No herbal teas no alternative options for people with intolerances such as gluten-free bread the breakfast consisted of porridge, tiny pancakes, melon everyday, beans everyday and chopped salad everyday and noodles. However there is a very nice Lady that will do you an egg or omelette on the grill which was tasty and so I had that everyday for two weeks because there was nothing else I can eat. The juice is flavoured water with loads of sugar (avoid). In terms of the noise people speak about yes there is a location nearby where the music will be pumping loud deep into the morning and I mean loud. And there is a lot of noise from the generators. The Wi-Fi keeps cutting out and also the electricity kept cutting out so if you rely on the Internet for your business then you will not be happy. There are a fair few older men with local women and visa versa staying at the hotel but that is not my business. However, I enjoyed my stay there because of the friendly atmosphere and the relaxed atmosphere. I did see a big rat hanging around which put me off as I can’t stand them and it’s hard to enjoy your food outside wh"

"Vi var på det gamle Palm Beach Hotel, der havde brug for TLC, og besluttede at prøve det nu, det havde en stor renovering.Hvad forskel var det og gjort til en god standard. Værelserne har glidende patiodøre med en glidende mossdør,luftkonditionering inkluderet (som før) tv, garderobe, lille kopplade, sikker (inklusive) kælder, komfortable senge, pool towels.Badeværelserne vil blive opgraderet på en senere dato, som de blev lavet af tidligere ejere. Hvis du vil have et køleskab, betaler du ekstra.Værelserne er søde og rene, sengeskifter også alternative dage og handsker, når og når det er nødvendigt.Badeværelse søde og rene, masser af solsenge omkring poolområdet og der er en poolbar. Restauranten har masser af borde indenfor og udenfor, og buffet morgenmad havde masser af valg.De har også et meget godt udvalg af måltider/elementer på menuen til meget rimelige priser. Der er også masser af solsenge på stranden og en strandbar, der serverer drikkevarer og snacks indtil klokken 18.00.Alle personalet er meget venlige og hjælpsomme.Grundlaget er smukt og ren og hyggelig. Meget imponeret af den "nye" Palm Beach Resort og vi vil gå tilbage."

"good location, just a pity that the road in front of the hotel was being renewed during my visit. hotel has friendly staff, every weekend there is a party in the restaurant by locals, which continues until midnight. You can also arrange a tourist ride in the hotel via Yankuba. Breakfast is standard but good for Gambian standards. the room is nice and cool and has a fridge and nice shower. I enjoyed 2 weeks. Tip : make a round prices at hotel and restaurant like 150200/250. Becouse they have not change when you charge 320/545/145. I give tip when i want ."

"Spent 11 nights here and would return. You get what you pay for and this wasn't the most expensive trip. The room was perfect for our requirements with a huge bed, plenty of storage space, electric sockets (UK Plug fitted these). Bathroom / Shower was a little dated but the shower was powerful enough. The pool water needed a little attention but was perfectly fine for the occasional dip to cool off. Location is good - just a short walk to the beach and other places to eat and drink are very close. You will get plenty of attention outside of the hotel, particularly from the local taxi drivers / tour guides. Staff were excellent and made the stay even more enjoyable. All in all - if you want something that isn't overly expensive but will give you a bit of winter sun with a warm, friendly and accommodating welcome then give it a shot. "

"arrived late at night given room told i would be moved next day good job the room was in need of updating ,new room was better, room not cleaned on day 3 put it down to housekeeping not told i had moved housekeeping asked for my key to clean the room said she did not have one 60 years of traveling this a first, one of the staff asked if i had been informed the hotel was hosting a sales dinner by 2 companies for 400 guests ,its a fine line for hotels getting outside funds and it not impacting hotel guests this crossed the line by a long way, started to remove sunbeds from pool mid morning ,night time dj playing music past midnight ,next day started to remove chairs/tables finished mid afternoon but left the pool area like the end of a pop concert i blame management should have told firm to leave pool area as they found it clean the litter was not cleaned until the afternoon, have nothing bad to say about housekeeping and the pool cleaner both did great job , cannot comment on the restaurants 1 never opened the other one because of low numbers on opened when tour groups pasted through then it was only buffet ,breakfast was Gambian times start time varied eggs fried potatoes beans sausage ,had 3 quiet weeks all ended when a large family moved into the 9 rooms in my block"
