"Vi kom her kun til middag og kunne gå ud på terrasse. Meget pæn styring. Vi gik for at skære og Wild Goulash. Begge store portioner. Vi giver begge retter en 7 fordi skærene her og der var noget hårdt og i goulash nogle søer og ikke malt sticks. Smag var god og fyldt. Nagrettet is med varme kirsebær. Fint. Alt i alt et modigt sted at eksplodere for drikke og fløde."

"We've stayed at Deimanns several times, but it still lacks that certain something. We've tried several of their many room categories, most recently the Junior Suite Deluxe. We've mentioned it repeatedly, and other guests we quickly struck up conversations with have too, that for the price, the suites should at least have a Nespresso machine (a kettle and tea/coffee set are the absolute minimum). Room service for (if I remember correctly) almost €10 for coffee and cake in the room is also unjustified. There's also room for improvement in the hotel's own patisserie. Unfortunately, they always offer the same, albeit tasty, pastries, but very few unusual cakes and desserts, so there's nothing special about them anymore. The value for money, therefore, needs improvement."

"I did not like having no elevator to my room. The stairs up to my room were difficult. American travelers beware…there is no AIR CONDITIONING and no fans or covered balcony. The breakfast was wonderful."

"Vi har tilbragt en vidunderlig ferie med vores børn på julen på højbenet. Under dejlige vejr har vi nydt den vidunderlige udsigt fra vores rummelige lejlighed. Børnene havde det sjovt i poolen, og vi har smaget de lækkere brød og den frisk pressede appelsinjuice til morgenmad samt den righoldige og varierede aftenmenu. Værterne og ansatte har altid været venlige, trods det fulde hus, og har opfyldt alle ønsker, og især børnene. En vidunderlig jordskælv. Vi kommer sikkert tilbage i 2026."

"A 4+ star establishment that is well maintained, but the type and quality of the food does not match the stars. For breakfast, you have to fill out a questionnaire at the table and write down how many slices of ham, salmon, cheese or whatever you want to eat. Then they bring it out and you can eat it. It reminded me of my stay in hospital. Being able to see the delicacies on the buffet whets your appetite and invites you to choose which appetizers you want to eat. Filling out a form is completely unsuitable for this and is not an indication of hospitality. After all, you eat with your eyes too! You can choose the evening menu, but the salad buffet that is typical in establishments of this category is not available! My main course (fish) was so salty that I could hardly eat it - but they simply took note of the complaint and did not try to make amends (as is completely normal in other hotels/restaurants). The prices are really amazing, though. The stay and the strange "hospitality" are quite expensive."

"Vi var der i en rustning tid af militær pleje i weekenden. Værelserne var hyggeligt indrettet og meget ren. Huset er fremragende, en top morgenmad med frisk opløst omelet, frokost og aften meget omfattende buffet, meget venlig og opmærksom personale. Om eftermiddagen en plantur med den Senior Chef, derefter i den smukke sauna område. Hotellet er virkelig anbefales, altid gerne igen!!"

Sauerland Alpin Hotel ★★★

"The hotel's motto is: "Where simplicity is special." Unfortunately, this statement accurately reflects the state of the building – and not in a positive way. Simplicity is perfectly fine, but there's a significant difference between deliberately understated furnishings and a hotel that hasn't been modernized in years. The entire building appears quite dated and worn in many places. In our first room, the wallpaper was already peeling off the wall. After changing rooms, we discovered that the window in the second room couldn't even be tilted open, making proper ventilation impossible. Both rooms had very old carpeting that was in dire need of cleaning. The bathrooms appear to be in their original condition. Sanitary ware and fixtures show clear signs of wear and tear and are in dire need of replacement. Overall, the hotel gives the impression of significant neglect. The food was adequate, but don't expect exceptional quality or culinary highlights. Much of it seemed more like convenience food than freshly prepared dishes. On the positive side, we'd like to highlight the pleasant size of the pool and the comfortable mattress. Ultimately, the quality of our stay was not sufficient. For this reason, we left a day earlier than planned. In our opinion, the hotel has great potential – however, a comprehensive renovation of the rooms and bathrooms, as well as a fundamental modernization, is urgently needed."
