"Returned to this little gem after ten years to find it is as amazing as the first time we stayed. We had the Sea View suite which is a real treat - it having its own large terrace with your own sunbeds and umbrella as well as a table and chairs. The owners and staff here are wonderful and work very hard to ensure your stay is a happy and memorable one from the very warmest of welcomes to bidding you a genuinely fond farewell - nothing is too much trouble. Special mentions to the owner Ari and his son Alex and a huge shout out to the wonderful Eleni, Efi and Vicki (the talented chef)the stars of the show at breakfast (incidentally one of the best breakfasts you will find anywhere). These delightful, welcoming and very friendly ladies work so very hard to make breakfast a wonderful experience - which it is - sitting on the terrace looking out over the bay - they are without doubt a credit to Ari and we hope to see them there when we return. A special mention also to Vicki for the delicious fresh cake and cookies at breakfast - what a treat - I am now the proud owner of the cookie recipe which I intend to make at home. You also have the fabulous Mario and Fotis taking care of afternoons and the delicious evening meals and drinks. Again, very genuine and friendly,who go out of their way to help. We read with disbelief a previous review that we feel is no way representative of the experience you will have at Armonia Bay. It is a beautiful intimate boutique hotel, peaceful and relaxing, with very special staff, a very special atmosphere in a very special picturesque location. We can't wait to return"

"Min søster og jeg er lige kommet tilbage fra ti dage her.Vi kan ikke sige nok gode ting om dette hotel, og personalet, som arbejdede træt for at sikre, at alt var perfekt. Beliggenheden, der var i bakkerne, var så fredelig, mange gange havde vi poolen til os selv, og det føltes mere som en velstandsretraktion.Frue blev inkluderet og valget var stort. Lunch og middag kunne tages på terrassen, oversigt over havet, og var smukt til stede og smagfuld.Alt var ubemærket ren og velholdt.Værelset vi havde var stort, med stor udsigt over havet og blev serveret dagligt. "Unfortunately, our recent stay at Samaina Inn in Karlovasi was extremely disappointing, particularly because this was our third time staying at the hotel. We booked our room approximately nine months in advance and specifically reserved and paid for an ocean-front, two-bedroom, two-bathroom maisonette/suite. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was an issue with our reservation and were given a completely different room. The room we received was a two-bedroom, one-bathroom room located in the back of the hotel with no ocean view. It was not comparable to the room we had reserved and paid for. What was even more frustrating was the hotel’s insistence that the replacement room was the same type of accommodation. It clearly was not. The difference in location, ocean view, number of bathrooms, and overall room category was significant. Despite the substantial difference, we were not offered any reimbursement or adjustment to the price. The situation was made worse by the lack of communication between the booking department and the front desk. It appeared that the staff were not properly informed about our reservation, and we received inconsistent explanations regarding what had happened. Rather than taking responsibility for the reservation error, we felt that the hotel was attempting to justify the situation instead of addressing it fairly. Unfortunately, one of the front desk staff members was also extremely rude and dismissive toward my family. The way the situation was handled became so upsetting that my daughter was brought to tears. As a customer—especially a returning customer—I found this level of treatment unacceptable. I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and requested the manager’s name and contact information, but this information was not provided to me. That only added to the feeling that there was a lack of accountability for what had happened. We were extremely disappointed that the hotel did not acknowledge the mistake, offer an appropriate solution, or provide any compensation for the significant difference between the accommodation we paid for and the room we actually received. We have stayed at Samaina Inn three times, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. We had previously chosen to return because of our past experiences, but unfortunately, after the way this situation was handled, we will not be returning. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a business takes responsibility and treats its customers when something goes wrong. In this case, we felt that our concerns were dismissed, we were not treated with respect, and there was no meaningful effort to resolve the situation. Very disappointing experience, and unfortunately one that completely changed our opinion of a hotel we had previously chosen to return to. I would not recommend Samaina Inn based on our recent experience."
