"Dear, I booked 3 nights via outspot for this hotel. I asked if a dog was allowed. This was no problem for an additional charge. When checking in, the first thing the owner said that dogs should never be left alone in the room. Once in the room my poodle 'Polly' barked 3 times because the room is new for him. After half an hour we left the hotel and were told that dogs are not allowed to bark in this hotel? Funny because they have a dog too and their dog barked when we arrived :-) During the night Polly was quiter than me because i had a cold and almost didn't dare to cough because what if my dog would start barking? At breakfast the jailer of this hotel said that Polly had to stay under the table and should not make noise. I did not raise my dog properly and should my dog in the car. This is in Belgium even not allowed to do so? I did not make a scene and left the hotel even without saying adieu."

"On that cold and dark winter evebing, we were gracefully helped by phone by the reception lady in order to reach the hotel located within the pedestrian corner of the city. A beautiful Maison de Maître serves as the Edgar hôtel. Check-in was swift and pleasant, and we had access to an elevator for our humougous suitcases. We entered a beautifully-decorated and warm bedroom, and were nicely advised by our receptionist on which restaurant would be open for dinner (winter Sunday night). Had a resting sleep and a tasty breakfast. Only good things to say, basically. I want to emphasize here that we had a wheel chair accessible bedroom on the 1st floor (the hotel has 3), which I found interesting. The bathroom was all planned for wheel chair access. In case anyone here needs this type of facility, you can book Edgar hotel!"
