The Crown Hotel ★★★

"We needed somewhere to have coffee and shelter from the rain. But, we had a three year old with us. The Crown Hotel was the nearest, so we crossed our fingers and headed inside. What a great place. Everyone was so helpful! The lady at the bar quickly found us something for the child to munch ( we couldn’t find the snacks left by mum in the changing bag). Someone else came in with children in tow so we really felt at home. Also, had a great chat with a gentleman seated at the bar. The coffee was good, oat milk, too, was available which was a real plus. Thank you, everyone."

"Stayed for 3 days, we were in a room across from the hotel, the room had a kitchen and seating area, a bedroom, and a very spacious bathroom which we weren't expecting. The room was cleaned every day.. The hotel itself had a lovely sunny garden. The staff are really friendly and very accomodating. Location is great right in the middle of town but up a steep hill. Beach is a 15 min walk, bus and train station is 5 to 10 min walk. There is a sainsbury a couple of doors down if needed. Only negative is. In our building there is no lift, I am not sure if there is one in the main building. Its a steep walk back up from the beach if you are not spritly this could be a problem. We had no problem. Shopping, there are a few supermarkets and Boutiques which I love, a Peacocks and a Poundland, plus other holiday shops. Getting around, is easy, you have the train that goes to Lake, Sandown, Brading and Shanklin. The bus station where you will find buses that take you all over the island less than a 10 min walk away."

"Havde en voucher til en biksmiddag for to, der var ekstremt god værdi .... mad, drikkevarer og atmosfære alle tilføjet op til en smuk oplevelse.Biksen var ekstremt godt kogt, ligesom alle ledsagerne var lækker New Forest is-cream til dessert. Bliver snyd og en Pimms færdig en smuk sommermiddag :-) Komfortabel omgivelser med en række valg til at sidde .... toiletter på samme niveau ren og frisk.Vil helt sikkert være tilbage!!"
