Burundi Palace Boutique Hotel

"Firstly, my expectations in Burundi were quite low: electricity, water, hot water, internet, and basic cleanliness were sufficient. Air conditioning wasn't necessary this season. This hotel is located next to Independence Square in the city center, and the rooms generally met the requirements mentioned above. However, I must point out the drawbacks: the furniture had a strong formaldehyde smell, so I lay across the foot of the bed for two nights to avoid being near the bedside table and headboard. Secondly, there were frequent, deafeningly loud band performances in the third-floor restaurant, continuing well past midnight. Thirdly, the soundproofing in the guest rooms was very poor, especially room number one, which was close to the reception and hallway, causing significant disturbance. The breakfast was also mediocre, and the Wi-Fi signal wasn't very strong. But again, since I was in Burundi, I figured I'd just have to make do. If you can afford it, I recommend staying at Kiriri."

Pierre, the owner, is a very cultured man who knows the country well; in fact, he built the hotel himself. He lives on the premises and ensures that everything is always well-maintained and that the staff provides consistently high-quality service. He has thought of everything to ensure his guests have everything they need for their comfort and safety. Whether traveling alone, as a couple, or with family, Goodlife Residence is the perfect place to stay in Bujumbura!"

"The service was just average. It had rained the staircase and balcony was wet, there was a TV but not working, Towels were not clean. There’s a leaking water from the WC. So I did not enjoy for sure. Finally the Generator was switched off no hot showers"
