"Decided to drive to Townsville to visit family and usually I would have driven from Brisbane straight through, but once I hit Rocky I wanted to rest. Rocky Gardens was the first place I saw entering town so I stopped there. Walked in, asked if there were any available rooms, and after 5 minutes I was headed for my room. The staff were great, especially when it came time for a feed. I was told that “room service would be sent to my room, just call the restaurant and place an order”. Within 15 minutes the food arrived and was great. The room itself was great, no problem at all. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here and if you plan to eat, give the Homemade Rissoles a go, and the Apple Pie/tart with cream and ice cream. I’ve only been up north once and that was with the Army, but I’ve now got family up there, so I dare say I’ll be heading up more often and Rocky Gardens will be a mandatory stop for me. "

The bed is clean and comfortable, and it is very friendly to people with allergies like me. Parking is free. If there is something that can be improved, it would be that there are only two toilets. However, since our family wakes up at different times, it is not crowded. In short, I highly recommend it!"
