"The front desk staff's attitude was just okay on check-in day. They handed me the room key and breakfast vouchers without telling me where breakfast was or what time it ended. Breakfast is served in a shared restaurant with the Hilton Garden Inn, and the selection was very rich, though it did get crowded. The gym is also shared and was pretty empty. The room was decent, though the facilities weren't new. They offered two pillow choices, which was standard."

I originally booked a sea view room but it only offered a partial sea view. The kind young lady at the front desk upgraded me to a room with a direct ocean view, and I got to watch the sunrise right from my bed in the morning. The hygiene and service at this hotel are both top-notch. Highly recommended."

"I never expected to find such a high-end homestay in Rizhao. The quality is top-notch, and it's a Ctrip resort farm, which I heard is the first one in Shandong. The rooms are spacious, the butler service is very attentive, and every staff member has a happy smile on their face. The food is also great. The farm has its own tea garden, children's activity room, gym, mahjong room, and even a KTV. You can also experience various handicraft activities. I will definitely come back in the future!"

They have an outdoor swimming pool filled with sea water, very much young children friendly, a big indoor park in case of rainy day, and lots of fun stuff to do around the place for local food. "Five stars, highly recommended! This stay far exceeded my expectations; everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel lobby is grand and elegant. Upon entering, staff immediately offered to help with my luggage. Check-in at the front desk was very quick, and the staff were gentle and patient, even offering thoughtful recommendations for local attractions. The room was spotlessly clean, with no stains in corners or the bathroom. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom were very practical. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, the mattress had just the right firmness, and the soundproofing and blackout curtains were excellent – I slept straight through till morning. The facilities were well-maintained, and the toiletries were high quality. Room service was very responsive whenever I needed anything. The location is superb, making it easy to get around for dining and shopping. Throughout my stay, the service was attentive yet discreet, never overbearing. Every detail showed thoughtfulness, truly making me feel at home. This is my top choice for accommodation when traveling; I’ll definitely stay here again!"

If you're driving, the university town night market is a few kilometers away. Don't go to the night market too late, as there won't be much good food left."

"My best friend and I heard that a hot spring hotel had opened in Rizhao, so we rushed over to experience it. We booked their high-end cubicle room and it was an amazing experience! The space, bedding, and comfort were all fantastic 👍👍👍. They even included two breakfasts! The hot spring bath was wonderful, and the provided clothes were very comfortable and clean. Everyone should come and check it out!!!"

"I came to Rizhao for a business trip today, and my colleague booked this hotel online. This is a newly opened hotel. During the stay, the service in all aspects was still in place, and the waiters were also very warm and thoughtful. There are shopping malls around and dining is very convenient. Room: 1. The space is large and spacious; 2. The sanitary condition is very good and clean; 3. Because it is a new hotel, the smell in the room is still quite strong, so you need to open the windows for ventilation! 4. The facilities and equipment are average and not intelligent. The socket panel on the wall is not strong. When the plug was pulled out, the panel almost fell off. 5. The water flow in the bathroom is very good and the water temperature is relatively stable. 6. The air conditioner is very quiet and not easy to feel, but it is indeed working normally. breakfast: 1. The omelette is cold. This should be controlled according to the passenger flow, otherwise it will become cold quickly if you make too much. 2. Some dishes still need to be kept warm. 3. Hot and sour soup, wontons, and fried dough sticks are very good."

"Cons: The bathroom in the room was utterly inhumane, enough to drive you crazy. The toilet was windowless and completely transparent – who could possibly defecate like that? The stench was overwhelming. There was no space to put anything in the shower room; you had to leave it directly on the floor. You had to come out naked to get a towel after showering. The family room had some bizarre design concept. Breakfast required walking to another hotel, not far, but I was very annoyed because it wasn't mentioned when booking. (Picture of breakfast quality attached). Cleaning was terrible. The balcony tables and chairs were unattended and soaked, getting my clothes wet. The next day it rained, and I returned to the hotel around noon, only to find the room still unwashed. The worst part was wanting a hot shower, but there was no hot water! Can you believe it? 800 yuan a night? No hot water. Pros: The town is lively with many snacks. I really don't recommend Rizhao. The facilities are extremely poor. Taxis and ride-hailing services are scarce, traffic is terrible, and a set of beach chairs costs 80 yuan per hour, without even a bottle of water. They're practically robbing people! The tourism department is incredibly stingy, and prices are extremely high. It's just a fishing village; the value for money is extremely, extremely, extremely low."

"Huamei Hotel is in a great location, close to various attractions and the city center. The room is clean and sanitary, and fruit biscuits are provided. There are 4 kinds of free drinks in the lobby, and the dishes in the Chinese restaurant on the 4th floor are also very good, with special delicacies such as Spanish mackerel dumplings, sea intestine rice, and sea sand noodles. "Jinhai Garden is an older hotel, but it's clean and tidy. The bed is two 1.2-inch beds joined together, sleeping three people. The location is convenient, just across the street from Shanhaitian Taigong Oyster Island Park. The staff is also friendly. After checking in, I discovered the price had dropped, and Ctrip refunded the difference."

"I was very speechless. I asked for a few more bottles of water but was told by the housekeeping department that they would not give them to me. If I asked for more, I would have to pay. I told you about the door that kept ringing. There was no solution, so I hung up the phone. If I didn’t want to hear my opinion, why did you call me back? I won’t stay here again."

"Simply put, the trip was very satisfied overall, the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. First, the location was given to the burst, and the straight line distance from the beach was only 3 meters. Second, the sound insulation is great, there is basically no sound when you change the window, but the sound of fireworks at the music festival is still audible, which is not in the way. Third, this room is located inside the scenic area. Although the parking lot is free for guests, it is also external. There are a lot of music festival cars on the first day, and there are basically no cars on the second day. Fourth, the service is good, help adjust the bed, give the baby fence.
