"The place is stunning! When you enter the property you start finding out different parts of the hotel that are just beautiful! The restaurant is ESPECTACULAR! The staff was great at all times. Now the not so fun part…. Very noisy, you can hear the footsteps of your neighbors. The mattress is very hard as well as the pillows. The room is very small and minimalist, a lot of light enters de room for those who like a dark room. The shower is very small I don’t know if it was my room’s. The railway is terrible!! The train never stops going by, not even at night. We went to have dinner to other hotels around and they looked very nice too without a railway. For the price I payed I expected more confortness."

"What an incredible place! A true oasis nestled in a lemon grove with stunning views of Mount Etna, surrounded by vibrant flowers and lush greenery. This is the perfect spot for families with children, as the staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and make you feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the rooms were excellent—comfortable beds, effective air conditioning, and wonderfully quiet. Waking up each morning to the sight of the lemon orchard was simply breathtaking. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sicily!"

Jeg anbefaler, at du bliver her, hvis du har en bil, da der ikke er tætte taxier eller Ubers (de kommer fra Taromina og vil opkræve dig).Ikke sikker på, hvilke byer eller aktiviteter er omkring (byen meget stille) og vi blev kun de to nætter."

"We stayed at Donna Carmela for one night and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is set in a peaceful and quiet surrounding, which adds to its charm and makes it ideal for a relaxing short stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were courteous, attentive, and highly professional, making us feel genuinely welcome. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, providing everything we needed for a restful night. The only minor drawback was the proximity to the railway line, as trains passing by could occasionally be heard. However, this did not significantly affect our rest, and we still managed to sleep well through the night. Breakfast was enjoyable, offering a mix of buffet items alongside freshly prepared dishes from the menu. We tried the omelette and the poached eggs, both of which were excellent and clearly made with care. Despite the slight noise from nearby trains, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable thanks to the excellent service, quality food, and relaxing atmosphere. We would happily recommend Donna Carmela for a short and pleasant getaway."

Please note that it is a bit further out from Riposto station and a walk from the local restaurants, especially in the heat! I would recommend hiring a car for your stay. We ate in the restaurant one evening and it was excellent; they were very flexible and catered to our dietary needs. Luca was particularly helpful."
