"Fantastic location and the hotel is excellent, modern, well run and has a great bar, restaurant, and patio. We booked at the last minute and couldn't get a beachfront room with a balcony but they look AMAZING. The beach is right there and cafes on the beach are really good. Easy walk to the town (across a bridge). Would love to go back to Ribadesella and would for sure stay here in a beachfront room."

"Ankomsten til Villa Rosario var sømløs, og vi kørte bare ind i underjordisk garage over vejen, lige ind i det samme rum, vi brugte sidste år.Check ind var venlig, og hotellet synes bare at have en virkelig velkommen atmosfære. Vores Executive værelse (nr. 2) er på gulvet og meget pænt.Det er stort, smukt møbleret og har en smuk en-suite.Hotellet har et loungeområde samt steder at slappe af på forsiden af porten og haven. Breakfast her er fremragende og understreger betydningen af Villa Rosario steder på kvalitetsservice.Lige nu er du velkommen af holdet af ventende personale, der ser smarte, men casual i matchende flådeblå suits med hvide te-shirts og trænere. Maden var fremragende og smukt præsenteret, og vi nydte frisk frugt, tostade con tomate y olie, perfekt kogte scramblede æg, et udvalg af oste, frisk brød og kager. På de efterfølgende morgener skiftede jeg til bacon og frittede æg, som også ramte stedet perfekt.Vi rejser meget og har ingen tøven med at sige, at Villa Rosario er et af vores yndlingshoteller. Det er klassisk uden at være formelt, og det er bare et smukt sted at blive.Vi ser frem til vores næste besøg allerede!"

"The rooms and bathroom were clean but amenities were lacking (no drinking glasses). There was inadequate soundproofing in the rooms and the hotel was quite noisy. Breakfast was minimal and not worth the price. The setting was beautiful and staff was friendly. Overall, the experience was over priced."

"Fantastisk 4-nat ophold i denne unikke hotel bygning.Udsigterne over bjerge og strand fra vores 2. sal var vidunderlige. Smukt stort badeværelse med gåtur i bruser og alle faciliteter leveret som forventet bortset fra ingen te/kaffefabrikationer i rummet, der var en skam. Breakfast var lækker og udsigten fra restauranten er fantastisk Dette hotel er perfekt beliggende åben i promenaden ved siden af stranden.Smukt afslappende indstilling. Vi spiste middag i restauranten på en aften, der ikke var stor og meget dyr, og vi fandt andre steder bedre priser og mere valg. Hotellet ville også have nydt godt af et lounge/barområde, da der ikke var noget sted at sidde og få en drink uden for morgenmad."

"The location of the hotel is so beautiful, you can see the sunset and sea view of the green hills in the room. It is the most satisfying stop in the whole Spanish journey. The hotel is not newly renovated for a long time. We booked a family room with a double bed and a combed bed. It was very comfortable for a family of four. Going out is the lawn lounge chair, looking at the beautiful scenery in the distance is so uncomfortable. Love this blue house so much. The only problem is that it may not be very convenient to arrive by car. There is no public transportation. It should be able to take a taxi. The breakfast is very rich, other guests are hiking in the mountains, the natural scenery is beautiful"

"The building is an annex across the street from a mansion with access to the beach. Very modern, with top-notch facilities, a very large room with large windows (with a partial sea view), and its own garage. The downside: it's located in the more luxurious residential area, but further from the "historic center" of Ribadesella. Therefore, you'll need a car to get out (cross a bridge over the river), or walk a few meters to reach a restaurant (there are a few nearby, but they're not very busy outside of summer). The hotel itself was excellent."

"I stayed for 4 nights in August 2023. Booked via *********** at a very good rate for a seaside location (we also checked on the hotel's own website simultaneously and it was basically the same price). Location is fantastic - 30 seconds from the front door to the beach where there is a lovely promenade to walk along or the beach to relax on. It's also only a 10 minute walk across the bridge to the main part of the town with shops and restaurants, but on this side of the bridge there is still a supermarket (Dia) as well as a bakery and ice cream shop. Staff were always friendly and accommodated the fact I can't speak Spanish. There is a side door which you get a key to enabling you to easily access the building when reception is closed which is helpful. When booking it seemed to indicate breakfast wasn't available, but it was. I didn't actually have any as I brought my own (and there is a very nice bakery a couple of streets away, Nerian Salon de te - you can sit in or takeaway). Room was a good size - I was on the top floor and could just about see the sea from my skylight. Ensuite bathroom also a good size - towels and complimentary shampoo & shower gel included. The wifi worked well enough for me - I was able to Whatsapp call, watch youtube videos etc without issue. Lift was a little noisy when in action but once asleep didn't bother me. Lights turn off in the corridors after a time but there are light switches outside the bedroom doors so you can easily turn them on to get the key in your door! No air conditioning (that I could work out) and I was there in one of the heatwaves so it did get fairly warm but I had a travel fan with me and kept the skylight open so was fine. I didn't actually enquire about fans - maybe they could have provided one, I don't know. TV in the room had a very wide variety of channels, almost all in Spanish but for Brits like me it was nice to watch a bit of BBC News from time to time. I was particularly impressed with the cleaners - barely noticed them but they worked around when we weren't in the room which for me was quite random as I was in and out to the beach/town quite a lot, coming back to escape the sun! I just popped the 'do not disturb' sign on the door when I was in, and they cleaned when I wasn't. As I have friends who live in the town, it's quite possible I may return, and if so I am likely to look to stay here again. Checkout was 9am-12pm but they said there were arrangements that could be made if I wanted to checkout earlier. Only little niggle was when checking out they tried charging me for a breakfast (which I never had) but the moment I said I never had any, they said that was fine and there must have been a confusion, so there wasn't any negativity around that. "
