"Vi ankom kl. 12. og vi ville tage et bad, og da bruseren blev åbnet, begyndte det at oversvømme hele rummet, jeg tror der var et problem med kirsebæren, heldigvis havde den varmt vand, men vi kunne ikke blive der længere. Selvfølgelig tilbød personalet at give os et andet værelse, men med 50€ gav vi os kunne vi finde noget mere anstændigt!!Også værelset havde en mærkelig lugt og meget små vinduer.Som det fremgår af billedet, er badeværelset meget tæt på sengen."

"We stayed here after a bad experience with an air bnb so booked this the night before. Great value and lovely hotel. The man who checked us in was very friendly and gave us an excellent recommendation for a local resultant which serves delicious authentic Cretan food in humungous servings. The hotel itself was lovely and clean and had a lovely little balcony looking out into the pine forest. We had two single beds which were close but This was fine. Shower had great pressure and temperature. Little strange is the bathroom which is just a green glass wall which you can’t see through but when the light is on you can see the other persons silhouette. There is free onsite open air parking which was a godsend after fighting for parking in Chania. There’s a lovely pool area which has ocean views but we did not use this. Overall excellent hotel with all the basics and lovely staff."

"An excellent and unique experience in the heart of Rethymnon town. The hotel has a very relaxing ambience as soon as you walk through the entrance. The water theme and spa like music set you up for a relaxing visit. The room we were allocated was perfect, we were in room 2. Our name on the door to greet us I found to be a nice touch. We were happy with the comfort within the room,and good lighting throughout. The well in the toilet area was so unique and interesting. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, providing advice regarding parking and local restaurants. The breakfast was lovely too, traditional Greek options with good coffee. We would definitely return to this hotel."

"Without doubt this is one of our favourite accommodation to stay anywhere never mind in the wonderful town of Rethymnon and the suites are simply stunning. The location is just perfect right in the heart of the old town but inside the Hamam Oriental it is so quiet with a real tranquil ambience. We were staying again in the Cyclamen Suite which really is luxurious with everything you could possibly need for the perfect stay and the past have also stayed in the Hyacinth Suite which is also fantastic with a private jacuzzi on the terrace. We can't recommend thses suites highly enough and will definitely return the next time we are in Rethymnon."

"We have just come back from our amazing stay in this hotel. The location is perfect if you are happy to have a 20 minute stroll into the main town, or even get a taxi (7/8 euros). The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming (we didn't get the name of the young girl on the desk but she was lovely). The rooms are quite basic but for a week stay they were perfect if you are not in your room too much. As we went in October the pool area was quiet and was perfect for relaxing in the day. The breakfast is just a standard European breakfast, perfect for just grabbing a bite to eat in the morning. The sea is right on the doorstep. The pool area has a snack bar (salads, pizzas, gyros) and was really high quality food. There are also amazing restaurants surrounding the hotel - which were amazing (Taverna Galera, Prima Plora and Karnagio). Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break. For the price, we were so so impressed."

"We had a great vacation at Grecotel Creta Palace. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. Food was consistently good, the à la carte restaurants were excellent, and the drinks were better than expected. We also loved the beach service—having cocktails delivered straight to our sunbeds was a nice touch. Room service was fast and reliable. The evening entertainment was another highlight. There was stylish live music every night and good-quality shows without feeling over the top. We really enjoyed the complimentary Greek cooking class with Chef Niko and the Greek coffee workshop - both lead by charismatic Georgios Mavrangelidis. They were fun, well organized and a nice way to experience Greek culture. Thanks also to Nastia from Guest Relations for always being helpful. Our daughter enjoyed the Kids Club as well - the team there was very dedicated. Our room - Double Superior Sea view - itself could be more functional. We had to ask for extra hangers, there was no proper place to store our suitcases, and we missed a drying rack on the balcony for swimsuits and towels. The location is great—Rethymno is only a short drive away and definitely worth visiting for dinner or an evening walk. The hotel beach is nice, but if you’re renting a car, I’d definitely recommend exploring the island. Crete has more scenic beaches with calmer water and excellent spots for snorkeling and diving. Overall, we’d definitely recommend the hotel and would happily come back. Thank you, dear Creta Palace Team❤️"

"Some of the staff friendly.. we upgraded our room as the first room was ok but wasnt brilliant.. had trouble getting our room cleaned , we had to put the green light on at the door which we did and all they did was fetch clean towels , had to report it twice and finally got it done properly the day before we left but they didn't touch the balcony as stuff was spilt there causing ants .. this wasnt the worse bit , my grandson and family was next room but one and he went in his room one night and all the wall came crashing down onto his girlfriends leg cutting her and broke her toe , it just missed the kids heads .. then the receptionist wasnt very helpful saying oh you havnt broke your toe its ok didn't help her at all"

"We loved this place, it was central to the old town, but surprisingly quiet when we went to bed, which was so comfortable. The rest of the apartment was very well decorated (as they have pictured), with everything you need in the kitchen, but not used by us, too many amazing places to eat close by. And the whole apartment was very clean, the showers were great. It was easy to find & our host was a lovely man , who returned my texts straight away. We are hoping to go back next September & that’s the biggest compliment I could give. 10/10 from us 🥰"

"Good things: 1) Nice outdoor area by the pool 2) Nice and panoramic view of the city and 3) Kind personnel working in the pool Bad things: 1) Paid 100 euros more for an exceptional room with panoramic view . The room had the view BUT: The room was situated in floor -1 . The expensive room was half the size of a cheaper room! The cheaper rooms were in floor 2!!!So i paid 100 euros more for a much worst romom 2) The size of the room was really small and unconveninet, -no place to set your luggage and imagine I was alone. It should be a nightmare for 2 people 3) No Greek TV channel; only German; I told them that greek TV channels were not available and they told me they will look at it; They never did 4) extremely low quality internet; almost non operational, there were times I could not browse my mails ;again refering to the floor where my 'panoramic view' romm was located 5) The linen had a smell from clothes that wree left in the laundry and not dried properly; really terrible 6) Breakfast was terrible; Really the worst breakfast I ever seen; This is in contrast to the exceptional philoxenia and quality all over the city of Rethymno; great paraphony 7) Impersonal personell at reception; very impersonal 8) Noise; Huge noise in the -1 floor; not sure on the rest 9) No mosquito blockers on the windows; No anti-mosquito devices 10) Worst coffee I ever had on a greek hotel General: Very poor management of a property with a huge potential; Suggestion: You cannot ask people pay more for worst rooms; rooms pay less. Fix all the above as they are easy to fix; especially 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 points is really an easy fix ;"

"Great stay in Rethymno. We chose to stay here for the first night of our four day holiday and we absolutely loved it . The hotel is around five minute walk from most of the restaurants in the town. It is well located and plenty of free on street parking in the surrounding area. When we arrived, we were greeted by the manager who welcomed us and we had a drink in the communal area whilst we checked in . We were then shown our room which was truly breathtaking. You have to go across stones which are surrounded by water in your own pool which was beautiful, the pool is not heated. The room we were saying was over two floors and was probably the most unique hotel state I’ve had in recent years. Please note the bath is in the living room area and the shower does not have a door between it and the bedroom. The breakfast in the morning was a mix of traditional Greek breakfast items and was very nice. If you are considering this, I would strongly suggest you book as you will not be disappointed ."

"My partner & I have just returned from a 10 day stay at the hotel. From the very start the staff were very polite & as our stay went on we felt they couldn't do enough for you, they were fantastic. The room we had was on the basement floor & it was a lovely room stay in, we had a nice seating area outside where we ate our lunch. Breakfast was good, and had good choice of various items.The pool area was great & had great sea views. The beach was just a few meters away & you have an ideal choice of beach (with plenty of loungers) or pool. The bar is at the pool & between 16:00 & 18:00 they have a happy hour on draught beer & cocktails. All the staff who worked around the bar during the day & night are brilliant young people, it's a great place to have a drink in the evening especially when the sun is setting, the view is stunning. Rethamno is around a 15-20 minute walk away, or there is a regular bus service that goes past the hotel, (buy your bus tickets at the bakery about 100 metres from the hotel) there is plenty of restaurants to eat in the town centre, also there are a few restaurants within a few hundred metres of the hotel as well. All in all we had a fantastic time during our stay there & definitely I would recommend this hotel for a lovely relaxing holiday."
