"We stayed in the hotel and were able to charge our EV at the campground. It’s just under an hour to St. Louis. We had two rooms that joined for my husband and I and our two kids. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Manager was nice, helpful, and interested in making our stay the best possible. I always pack travel shampoo and conditioner, and I was glad I had them. This hotel supplies soap for shower and bathroom sink but not the extra amenities, which was fine as the hotel charge was reasonable. I would recommend .!"

"This was five stars all around. The rooms are beautifully decorated. It is immaculately clean. The porch is a great place to sit and listen to and watch the birds. The rooms were quiet. The tea room is available with a frig, and a selection of teas and coffee. There are family board games. The host, Pat is a wealth of knowledge about the history of the home and the area. It is close to Fort Chartres. Down the street is Lisa's Market Street Grille where you can get the best fried chicken you have ever had. If you live in the St. Louis area this is my pick for a weekend get away for four couples."
