"We stayed for one night at the beginning of a cycling holiday. The room was lovely, nice size, nice furniture, large window. My only criticism is that the lighting could have been better…ageing eyes need bright light! Check in was good, but reception failed to pass on a message to me twice. They also said they would contact the person the message was from twice (even though they had a message they hadn’t passed on) and didn’t do that. The breakfast room was windowless and dreary. It felt crowded even though it wasn’t full. Reasonable but not great selection of food. There may have been a hot option to order but the service at breakfast was so abysmal we didn’t get that far…almost had to grab the waitress in passing to get a cup of coffee….she didn’t seem to realise that customers need serving! Not sure we would go back. Didn’t use the spa."

But what made it all unforgettable was Katia's welcome: in the morning, sensing the occasion, she took care to bring a candle to the breakfast table to place on a delicious cassatina. That spontaneous and affectionate gesture filled my mother with joy. To complete the surprise, when they returned to their room, they found a greeting card accompanied by two glasses of champagne. In short, at Relais Duomo you will not only find perfect accommodation, but that care that transforms a stay into a precious memory. Thank you so much Katia for making this birthday so special.
