"We had a lovely stay of two nights here. We had a private room with AC. The pool was a lovely place to unwind in the evening. We met lots of interesting people (although I think we skewed the average age of guests by about 10 years). The rooms were nice, beds comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. Location was good, within walking distance of anything your needed."

"We had a fantastic stay at Tulemar Bungalows! Our concierge, Freddy Bennett, was readily available to assist with anything we needed throughout our stay. Everyone on staff is so kind and helpful! The bungalows are tucked into the hillside with lush tropical foliage and so much wildlife you can see right from your room. We saw squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, white faced capuchin monkeys, scarlet macaws, and sloths daily! Staying at Tulemar was such a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to return!"

There are a few hammocks to chill out in, & I appreciated the gym/yoga area upstairs. The location is convenient, with a bus stop close by that made getting to the beach easy and hassle-free. I also saw some wildlife in the backyard:)"

"This hotel was really cute and clean, and the dorm rooms weren’t bad for dorm rooms… The pool was nice the cold tub which is like a hot tub with cold water, was great. Literally nothing bad I can say about this place other than its location. Which I know they can’t do anything about but everybody online recommended staying in Quepos and I don’t know why, because it’s horrible. Yes, you can get picked up from your hotel to go out on excursions but if you’re there without a car, there’s literally nothing to walk to or do in Quepos without paying to go on an excursion! They recommend Sofa Sanchez to eat, everyone seems to, and it was modern but not great."

"Tulemar is somewhere that needs to stay as special as it is, and is thus almost too good to share, but I know this benefits Tulemar, so I am writing it anyway! This was one of the best holidays of my life, and I have travelled! The balance of wildlife, excellent service, high-quality accommodation, gorgeous swimming pools, a beautiful beach and walkable dining options is simply perfect. We booked for 7 nights and reshuffled our plans so we could stay 2 more. I'm not a fan of going to the same place more than once, but can say with my hand on my heart we will 100% be back, and we travelled 23 hours to get there! Thank you to the wonderful staff at Tulermar, especially Jean-Carlo for his kindness and patience, and Isaac the golf cart driver who always put a smile on our face and gave us one of our Costa Rica highlights when he showed us a baby sloth. Please book the Sloth Tour when you are there! Seeing this gorgeous creatures without the tour is quite tricky, but once you've done the tour you know where to look. All the money goes to the Sloth Institute, a non-profit organisation doing amazing things to help improve the lives of these gentle, gorgeous animals. What a place! It will stay in our hearts forever. Thank you for the beautiful memories our family made together. Pura Vida! Claire, Philipp & Harvey."

"The room was at the 4th floor of the highest building and the view was very beautiful both on the National Park and the ocean. The entrance to the park is 4 minutes walking distance, so excellent location. A walk can reach the beach in about 8 minutes and a area with bars and restaurants. Breakfast is good even if equal in the two days we stayed. There is always a service of helping baggage transportation through golf cars given the important vertical movements compared to parking and buildings. There was one problem: After the first 20 minutes in the pool, the white shirts used to avoid putting creams and protect themselves from sunshine were yellow. I reported the problem at the reception, and the result was that the next day a company came to clean both swimming pools several times. I believe that the problem is structural and that some users' reporting is not enough to solve the problem because water does not move as if the cleaning plant was insufficient."

"The excellent service started even before we even stepped foot here. An amazing concierge named Juan Carlos introduced all the amenities and activities very professionally and from there he assured everything was going to be “taken care of” (And if not by him by the amazing staff at the Gaia Hotel). I’ve been to a few resorts and none of them made me feel as invited and comfortable as Gaia and Juan Carlos. From the beginning I had no idea how to get to the hotel. I did not know how to choose transportation or what was the most economic or efficient. Juan Carlos said don’t worry and booked the best shuttle possible. We got to the hotel and we were immediately transported via golf cart from the shuttle to the lobby and were greeted by everyone and even the manager. We were COMFORTABLE to say the least. That was just the first few hours in Costa Rica! We were taken care of! The hotel provided shuttle service to the beach and back. Juan Carlos took care of other activities like when me and my wife wanted to get tattoos. It was an amazing experience. 10/10. I wish I could write more but my wife wants me to stop! Will come back again!"
