"The front desk upgraded me to a larger room, which was more than enough for one person. The location is excellent, with a direct bus from the high-speed rail station. I could walk to the Tianhou Temple and Guandi Temple. It's about four or five stops from the old city. My electric scooter wasn't very useful, so I relied on the bus for most of my travels. Best of all, right next to the hotel is a food street with tons of options, so you don't even need to seek out famous internet-hyped spots."

"This hotel offers great value for money. According to the staff, it's the first hotel in Quanzhou, so it has a long history. While the facilities are a bit dated, the service details are exceptional. Even the towels and spoons come in individual packaging. Beyond the basic amenities, the room also includes a magnifying mirror, sleep spray, charging cables, and even a fortune stick container. Fresh fruit and snacks are provided daily, and in the evenings, there's white fungus soup and peanut soup, among other treats. It's a very thoughtful hotel! The only minor drawback was the breakfast; perhaps it just wasn't to a northerner's taste."

"I absolutely have to give a perfect 5-star rating to the InterContinental Quanzhou Taihe! A special shout-out to Raymond at the front desk; his service was truly impeccable, so warm and thoughtful. When he learned this trip was for an academic milestone, he proactively arranged a high-floor room for us and even gave us an extra breakfast. Whenever we had any issues during our stay, Raymond was always quick to respond and actively helped coordinate a solution. On the second day, he thoughtfully upgraded our room type, granted us executive lounge access, and even sent a complimentary fruit platter. The entire stay was exceptionally comfortable. Additionally, the hotel's breakfast selection is incredibly rich, offering all sorts of local Quanzhou specialties, and the flavors are outstanding. The room offered expansive views with an excellent landscape outside the window. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Quanzhou, and I'll choose InterContinental Taihe again on my next visit! Highly recommended!"

Alternatively, you can use a ride-sharing app to get to various hotels, so transportation is very convenient. On the 6th floor, there are washing machines and dryers, plus a large area for hanging clothes to dry, which is super handy. It would be even more perfect if there were some hangers provided."

The decor features an understated yet elegant New Chinese Zen style. The entrance design sets an incredible mood with olive trees and natural landscape stones, creating a serene and sophisticated atmosphere. Every photo taken here looks like a high-quality shot. The common areas are meticulously clean and tidy, with dark floor tiles, stone benches, and soft accent lighting. Sitting here in the evening, enjoying the breeze, instantly calms any restless thoughts. The guest rooms are tastefully furnished with warm, durable wooden furniture. The attention to detail in the craftsmanship is evident, showing how much thought the owner put into the design and decoration. Most importantly, it's spotlessly clean! The environment is quiet and peaceful, making it perfect for a short getaway or a gathering with friends.
