"Stuck in Qingdao for two days due to Typhoon Bavi, moving from Orange Hotel (Zhanqiao) to Orange Crystal Hotel (Taidong) was a brilliant decision. First off, the room size was an upgrade, the hairdryer was better, and the breakfast spread was plentiful. Plus, it even has a small gym. It's within walking distance of the Beer Museum, and you'll find convenience stores, restaurants, bus stops, and a subway station all nearby. Highly recommended! 👍"

"This is my second stay at Le Méridien Qingdao while visiting the city. It happened to be during the summer holiday, so the room rate was quite a bit higher than my last visit, which is understandable. The check-in was handled by a very enthusiastic young man. He was efficient, answered all our questions, and even proactively offered us complimentary breakfast, which we really appreciated. We also received a complimentary local Qingdao specialty drink upon check-in 🥤 The hotel itself isn't brand new, but overall, it still deserves a high rating. The cleaning staff on our floor always greeted us, and the room was tidied up spotless every day. The air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly, and the room size was also quite generous. I specifically chose a hotel with a bathtub, and with the added bonus of the hotel's own swimming pool, finding both at this price point during the summer holiday offers excellent value for money. The location is also very convenient, right next to Wanda Plaza, Joy City, and Hema Fresh. Getting a coffee, having a meal, or grocery shopping is all within easy reach. There are also several old-fashioned local restaurants nearby, so if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you can just stroll out and find plenty of options. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would likely consider staying here again on my next trip to Qingdao. Highly recommended."

"Staying at the MGM Qingdao was a fantastic experience overall, and I must particularly commend the concierge, front desk, and Guest Relations Manager, Elly. When I arrived, the concierge proactively opened the door and handled my luggage, offered me complimentary water, and even helped store my unused bags, which was incredibly convenient. The front desk service was efficient and patient, without any rigid procedures. They proactively asked about my check-in preferences and thoroughly explained breakfast times and hotel facilities. The hotel environment is elegant, and the room was clean and odor-free. Elly from Guest Relations was incredibly warm and generous, and definitely not perfunctory. Her meticulous service truly eased my travel fatigue. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Qingdao."
Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square)
"The hotel's location is excellent, conveniently close to the subway for easy travel. It's just a ten-minute walk to MixC shopping mall, making dining and shopping very convenient. It's also a twenty-minute walk to May Fourth Square. However, the soundproofing is poor; you can hear conversations from the next room. The triple room is spacious, but the cleaning wasn't very thorough and could be improved. There's no iron or ironing board in the room. The hotel breakfast is mediocre with a limited variety of fruits. On the day of check-in, our room wasn't ready, so we had to wait for almost an hour, only getting our room key close to 3 PM."

"Location: A 15-minute walk from May Fourth Square, and Ginza Mall is also within walking distance. It's convenient for tourists visiting Qingdao. The hotel is situated near a residential area, offering a quiet escape despite being close to the bustling city. Facilities: Standard chain hotel amenities. There's a pool, but it's on the smaller side and can get crowded during peak hours. Cleanliness: Generally good. Service: Attentive and prompt."

"This deserves a five-star review! The guesthouse's location is superb, right next to the Wusi Square subway station. The subway is literally downstairs, making getting around incredibly convenient. We had a sea-view standard room with two super comfortable 1.8-meter beds. The entire place was clean and hygienic, with no strange odors, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Overall, our stay felt comfortable and reassuring. The host was incredibly kind and enthusiastic, providing thoughtful and attentive service. They responded promptly to all our questions, making the experience absolutely perfect! Staying here is truly excellent value for money when visiting Qingdao. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel's location is quite close to Golden Beach, about a ten-minute walk, making it very convenient for catching the sunrise in the morning. The room facilities show their age a bit, and the cleanliness doesn't hold up to close inspection, but overall it's not bad. The family room is spacious and comes with an induction hob; pots and pans can also be provided (request in advance during holidays). The large balcony in the sea-view room is very comfortable, though the sea view itself is just average. However! The service was truly excellent. Everyone had a superb attitude. Traveling with my parents involved many little things, and the staff patiently helped us resolve them all. My mother couldn't stop praising them. Overall, it's very suitable for family travel. Those who are very particular about cleanliness might find it falls short, but the service is genuinely wonderful."

"The guesthouse has a great surrounding environment and convenient parking. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and even helped us with our luggage. The resident dog, Big Mac, is super handsome and very affectionate! We brought our own dog on this trip, and all the hotel staff loved her, constantly complimenting how cute she was and even taking pictures with her. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Qingdao!"

Breakfast was quite generous, and they even gave a gift for the kids. My son doesn't like plush toys, so I mentioned it to customer service, and they specially gave him a bunch of conch shells instead."

"The Westin Qingdao has a great location. It's right by Exit E of Wusi Square Station on Line 3, and you can even take an underground passage directly to MixC Mall across the street for easy access to food and drinks. I stayed for 4 nights and had breakfast 4 times. The breakfast selection was pretty good and they changed it up a bit every day. A special thanks to Kimi at the front desk – she's not only beautiful but also incredibly thoughtful. After checking into our room, we realized it wasn't suitable, and Kimi helped us switch rooms. She even went the extra mile and booked us a window seat at the Chinese restaurant."
