"We stayed overnight on august 12th The hotel is beautiful.Very quaint and run by very friendly people,nothing was too much trouble.My room was fantastic,four poster bed/jacuzzi sunken bath/walk in large rainfall shower/large tv/large balcony/loads of info/storage space/stocked fridge/safe/coffee machibe/toiletries you name it you had it Breakfast was great.Highly recommend 5*"

"Excellent stay and location. The rooms are well-appointed and have air conditioning which was nice. We enjoyed the "refined" dinner option one evening and it was a fabulous. Terrific service by the owners and Victoria (their daughter's name if I remember correctly). The pool was nice and refreshing too. Our only regret was that we didn't plan on staying longer. Next time! Thank you for a great stay."

"When we booked this we did not realise that this place is actually a museum, Talbot House was a second home for the soldiers of WWI, acting as a place to escape the gruels of war. The staff is very friendly, besides a little dust the place is clean and well kept. It has a beautiful garden to relax in while you admire the work and plants. Breakfast has breads with a choice of sweet and salty toppings, many fruits, cereals, and a full array of drinks. The cat is an absolute cuddle-bug and very friendly, 10/10, would pet again. Can definitely recommend staying here, good price/quality ratio."

"We thought we booked a room in the hotel but we had actually booked a room in their guest house which is a separate building up the road. We were not disappointed. Room spacious clean and modern. Bed clean and fabulously comfortable. Breakfast was good and we had to walk across to hotel and up to the top of an adjoining building via a lift which was fine but may have been annoying if it had been raining. We would stay here again. Good value and nice staff."

"Et dejligt afslappende hotel, der kører og betjent af de smukke mennesker Robin var meget hjælpsomt og fleksibelt, da han bookede og arrangerede en garage for vores lille scooter, da kun offentlig parkering var tilgængelig. Booking var en glat proces, og vores værelse var rent og komfortabel vi havde en måltid hver nat i restauranten og mad var meget god med sømløse service af glade og glade personale de har et godt udvalg af øl.Vi havde morgenmad hver dag og jeg Jeg må sige, at det var fantastisk og god værdi med et fremragende valg af buffet mad.Booking var en hurtig proces uden at blive skyndt.Vores værelse oversigtede hovedpladsen og vejen, men vi blev ikke forstyrret af nogen støj.Vi vil helt sikkert bruge dette hotel igen. "We had a nice time at Talbot House. The big plus is the historic value of the place, as we visited the area to learn more about WWI. So amazing to be able to explore the house and talk to the volunteer working here. Other things we liked were the friendly service and breakfast. Also big plus we could bring our dog, staying in the garden house. With the cold whilst we were there, not having central heating was a bit of a struggle as the aircon is only on during the afternoon/evening and harder to set to a consistent temperature. Also the shared bathroom’s window couldn’t be closed, so absolutely freezing to go to. Last, our room was on the small side and felt a bit cramped especially with our dog. But overall good value for money."
