"It has nothing of 4 stars....we had lunch on April 25th, inedible dishes, rooms with carpet not at all clean, window glass broken in several parts and also risky in my opinion and therefore you could not open the window, towels left for 2 people but we were in a triple, toilet paper nowhere to be found, very poor breakfast with poor quality products. Breakfast could be had until 10 but by 9 almost everything was finished. The ladies at the reception were kind but the shortcomings did not depend on them. The room cost 170 euros per night and we stayed 2 nights......plus 4 euros per person for the tourist tax....but the lady realized what a fool she had made and deducted 30 euros from the total. NEVER AGAIN"

"I was completely unfamiliar with this location, nestled in the green hills of Pontedera, with its Chianti vineyards. The resort immediately strikes me as elegant, while still retaining its character as a former manor house, expertly renovated with respect for its country atmosphere. I'm here for a conference with colleagues, and I must say the rooms are very generous in size, considering they're single occupancy. We were guests of the owner, Count Aldobrando degli Lazzoni Avogadro, who welcomed us warmly, making us feel at ease from the start. The resort also offers on-site dining, with rooms that reflect the rustic feel of the place while maintaining a certain elegance. The table settings are white, with very white, soft, and lightly scented tablecloths and napkins. The menu is rich in typical local dishes, but with a touch of creativity that doesn't make them predictable. Many of the cured meats on the menu are homemade, as are some of the cheeses and side dishes. The wine list is a bit limited, with most of the labels coming from the Count's vineyards. The dining room staff is truly friendly and helpful. Recommended."

"First of all, Trip.com This address is wrong, and it is not the address of the hotel after a big circle. The hotel is next to the national road gas station. The room was quite satisfactory, the waiters were very warm and the breakfast was simple."

"We absolutely loved our stay – this place is truly a little piece of paradise! We initially booked it for the fantastic location, with easy access to Pisa, Lucca, Florence, and the seaside, but it offered so much more than we expected. Tucked away in a peaceful and remote setting, the property boasts breathtaking views and a sense of serenity that’s hard to find. There are beautiful walks right from the doorstep, charming authentic villages nearby, lovely restaurants, and plenty of excellent wineries in the area. The accommodation itself is immaculate – beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and clearly very well cared for. The infinity pool is pristine and the entire property is maintained to a very high standard. Our apartment was tastefully furnished, extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Greta and her family were incredibly welcoming and kind. Communication was smooth and responsive throughout, and they were always available to help with anything we needed. We also loved that we could buy local honey and olive oil directly from them – both were delicious and top quality. A lovely bonus was the aperitivi dinner offered on Thursdays – a fun and relaxed opportunity to enjoy great local flavours and meet others in a beautiful setting. Overall, a 5-star experience. We would be delighted to return anytime – highly recommended! "

"Nice and quiet, amidst Sangiovese vines. Rooms are a quite large with separate sitting room/kitchen, bathroom quite spacious. Nice pool to plunge into. They also have a driving range, if you want to work in your golf skills. Food was really good all the way from breakfast to lunch. They have a home like cooking, so really enjoyable. Nice service."

"Charming hotel in the city centre. Easy to reach from the highway, secure underground parking on site and very central to walk to bars, shops and restaurants. Very clean and well maintained. Historical character but modern bathrooms and great air conditioning. Good value. No drawbacks or niggles whatsoever. For us this was an overnight stay before catching an early morning ferry in Livorno and we would definitely stay here again next time we go to Livorno. A bonus was getting to visit the Vespa/Piaggio museum in Pontedera."
