"Great place! Very comfy cabins with all what you need, nicely distributed in the landscape. The centrally located very nice resto serves good food including breakfasts. We saw a big family of monkeys playing around in the trees. A five minutes walk on a wooden footbridge bring you to a beautiful playa. great for surfers.Good for a stay of several days! Not far away from the tourist hotspot Tamarindo or from Playa Avellana."

"Soul Shine was a wonderful experience. We were greeted by the owners and the staff as soon as we came. Every one of our needs was attended to. It’s a beautiful peaceful place. The food is positively out of this world. They arranged a Christmas dinner menu of small plates. That was the best meal of our whole vacation. I can’t say enough about Soul Shine."

"The resort is very nice and looks quite renovated. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment. One of the rooms has a refrigerator, a stove, and a counter. The space is small but it works. The bathroom is in the other room. One odd thing is that the shower is outside, and between the two rooms, it's open-air (it has a roof), but if they closed it off, it would be much more usable. The two pools are very nice and the garage is convenient. The only downside is that it's called VR Beachwalk, and you can't walk to the beach; you have to drive there."

"We didn’t stay at this place but I rented boards from here and also ate/drank at the bar quite a bit. We really enjoyed spending time there. Beautiful grounds and good food/drinks. The guys at the bar made the place super awesome! Ryan, Josh, Sebastian…..you guys rock!! Ask for the “Ryan Special” drink, you won’t regret it!"

"Very lovely hotel. Tranquil setting surrounded by lush vegetation. Easy access to the beach by walk or drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and activities. We stayed in the surfer's villa which was a nice space for a family of four. Plenty of room with a large refrigerator and gas stove. The restaurant was awesome. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we vacation in the Playa Avellanas area. We had a wonderful time."
